The start of college football is just weeks away. Most schools will go to fall camp the first
week of August with game action starting the last week of August. Here's six questions
to ask yourself as the season nears.

1. Which CFB teams do you see being 'Play On' worth this season?
2. Which CFB teams do you see being 'Play Against' worth this season?
3. Which CFB teams do you see making it to the CFB Championship game?
4. Which new head coach hire will prove to be the 'Best' in CFB this season?
5. Which new head coach hire will prove to be the 'Worst' in CFB this season?
6. What will we remember the most about the 2018 season?

Welcome your comments on all or any of these questions...………………...

I'm focused mostly on the Big10. Born and raised in Big10 country. Of course I'll play all college football but Big10 is home. So with that.......
#1 & #2; usually do not have "a Team" to play on or against. (the books adjust to hot and cold teams) I'm more situational type bettor. Who is off BYE, back to back road games, etc.
#3. In the Big10 Ohio State has the driver's seat. No back to back tough games, no traps like Iowa last year. A quarterback who CAN make the throws. An offense that will go more uptempo, i.e. Oregon style. I see a very potent offense. Defensive backfield only concern, a mild concern. Penn St, MSU, Wisc., and Mich. will beat themselves up while OSU picks them off one by one. IF Penn St beats OSU on Sept. 29th, still think OSU will win out. Barring injuries. Key injuries to any of these teams changes everything!
#4. This season? Willie Taggert at FSU. I think he will get them going quick, defense is a concern. Then Scott Frost, but he needs more speed at Nebraska, will take some recruiting.
#5. You gotta think Herm Edwards. WTF????
#6. How boring college football has become when you have MegaMart Monopolies like Ohio State and Alabama taking all the best recruits and dominating year after year. JMO

to ask yourself as the season nears.

1. Which CFB teams do you see being 'Play On' worth this season?...I like Missouri. They have a solid offense and can score points. They also will "fly under the radar". I think they will be dogs in all 5 of their away games. Another team to watch is Ohio U. Another team with a solid offense. Solich has gone 8-4 ATS in his past 3 seasons. Solid.

2. Which CFB teams do you see being 'Play Against' worth this season?...Arizona. I know, I have picked them to finish #1 in the Pac 12 South, but this team ALWAYS has problems ATS. When they last won the Pac 12 South, they ended up at 5-9 ATS. They are very poor in the last half of the season, going 10-25 in their last 5 games. They are also 11-22 as an away dog...UCLA. Another team that just cannot cover games. UCLA is 18-33 ATS in the past 4 seasons. This is not a very good team, but Chip Kelly is their new HC and he will be worth a few points every game to the players. Take advantage of that

3. Which CFB teams do you see making it to the CFB Championship game?...My top 4. Clemson, Alabama, Washington and Oklahoma. The Big 10 will self destruct.

4. Which new head coach hire will prove to be the 'Best' in CFB this season?...Scott Frost to Nebraska. Another "under the radar" team with solid lines on both sides of the ball. Nebraska will surprise someone this season.

5. Which new head coach hire will prove to be the 'Worst' in CFB this season?... Herm Edwards, Arizona State. One of the strangest hires in recent memory. He gets 7 offensive starters back, but only 3 defensive starters. He may win as few as 2 games this season.

6. What will we remember the most about the 2018 season?... The Big 10 moaning and groaning because they will have 3-4 two loss teams and none of them will get into the playoff.
