The Bullpen wins games! Manager lost this game pulling him in the 7th. Managers are the ones fired so I ask why are they needed in the 1st place?

Catcher's interference. If the batter's swing hits the catcher's mitt and then continues through and hits the ball into play. It's the manager's option to take the result of the play or accept the interference by awarding the batter 1st base.

An amazing story as he was struck in the head 14 months ago by a line drive and had emergency surgery!!

Sux he was pulled but he threw a lot of pitches even though his command was pretty sharped (i only watched 6th and 7th inning and he threw a lot of pitches)
