i'm sure theres been plenty others debating the same thing but a friend and i have discussed her having the ability to get it done vs the colts.. looking back at what brad cox has said it doesn't seem likely.. but do you guys think she could contend in the classic or i think definitely would have a shot at the 3yo's in the Travers for sure doesn't seem like it'll happen but the battle of sexes always gets the ratings but this is more than that she very well might be the best 3yo out there at the moment

Can Monomoy Girl hold on for 10 Panels? That I think would be one of the major questions?

yeah seems like the biggest question mark being 1M is probably her best distance.. shes gotta beat Bella first i think before she even thinks about seeing the boys but these two special fillys right now her and Bella but as far as 3yo's go she in my opinion is right there with the colts currently

I’d like Wonder Gadot’s chances better in the Travers mainly because she can get the distance no problem. Not saying either would beat the boys in Travers but would definitely bet WG over MG if they both ran.

yeah shes 2nd fav on futures along with Hoffburg.. i wonder why they wouldn't just run her in the Alabama i guess 1.2M vs 600 cause correct me if i'm wrong the distance is the same.. they should have run her in the Belmont opposed to the Oaks seems the longer distance she excels 1 1/4 + .. and she certainly doesn't look like a mare of filly shes bigger than some of the colts

Has never run a bad race as her only finish out of the money was the 6th place finish in BC juvenile filly where she had to check at the 1/8 pole when it looked like she had a chance for 3rd or at worse 4th. And that was her first time on dirt. She is very versatile having won on turf(her least preferred surface), synthetic, dirt and even an off track(sloppy) in her last start. She also never faced maidens going against allowance company and winning in her first race. And as I stated, she has already proven she can get the distance with her easy wins against the boys up north in the first 2 legs of the Canadian Triple Crown at 1 1/4 and 1 3/16 miles. I love it that the owner(Gary Barber) is giving this filly a shot here.
