Syria is a proxy for Iran in the crusades against Israel. Syria enables war to be waged against Israel as they are the pipeline for weapons and supplies and combatants to flow into Lebanon from their country. If somebody from Lebanon tries to intervene, they get murdered. Maybe Assad treats women better than most of the Arab world, but to suggest he brings some sort of stability is akin to saying Saddam was good for Iraq. Many supporters may prosper, but many people suffer from real oppression as well

And there we have it again. The evil and sinister, manipulating little country always in the midst of everything...ISRAEL. So what if Iran is a proxy? What does that have to do with America and the west? We get involved in their affairs and have our young men die over there to fight Israel's war (and sometimes for own own political agendas and oil, God knows the CIA has jumped back n forth helping different countries and groups as it saw fit, our hands are just as bloody)

Wait..I can go on but I remembered you're one of those guys that won't listen to logic or reason. You don't have an in depth knowledge of the Middle East or political dealings. I won't waste my breath.

We invade Iraq for NO reason, kill innocents and then when we get blow back from the innocent men that resorted to ''terrorism'' for revenge against us we act all innocent.

We displace tons of Iraqi soldiers who ultimately join ISIS and we act innocent.

We let Israel use us like puppets and our young American soldiers as battering rams and sacrifices for their cause then wonder why the Arabs and Muslims in the Middle East don't trust us or think we are evil.

    Give me a break lol.

I love how people think U.S Soldiers are heroes when we are going over invading and killing innocents and have literally NO reason to be in place like Iraq etc.

The hype and fake news that we are fighting for freedom and fighting for something good. No. That was back during the World Wars. Nowadays we are the terrorists.

The numbers you presented are skewed for they do not include "Homicides" perpetrated by the state or in the name of sharia law! Stoning deaths are not included in the homicide stats. China and North Korea also have low to zero homicide rate, but if you were to include all the "missing or disappearing" citizens the number would be much higher. Until Muslim countries have a thriving Jewish community (actually any thriving non-Muslim religious community) and women are treated equally it's a fallacy to say that Islam is a religion of peace!

P.S. you posted this in another thread and I asked you to educate me, a Canadian, how Bush destroyed America? I'm not too familiar with US politics, can you please explain.

Increased racial tensions tenfold by using race as a wedge issue
Condoned what he called justified or understandable violence against police because of their systematic racism
Hurt tens of millions of Americans with his Obamacare lies
Presided over racial riots we haven't seen since there was real racism in the 60's
Closed successful Bush initiated charter schools to appease his unions, fucking the poor citizens
Allowed an Ambassador to be murdered, lied about it
Used the IRS against conservative groups
Spied on political adversaries leading to the fictional wedge issue known as Russian Collusion
    Regulated everything, destroyed the economy
Watch jobs leave the states and told people to go back to school because those jobs ain't coming back
Owned the worst extended period of economic malaise since the Great Depression
Wasted a billion dollars on a failed economic stimulus
Wasted unknown billions on QE I, QE II, QE III into infinity and beyond
Created millions of refugees in the middle east, said the solution was to bring 10,000 of them here
Traded 5 dangerous enemy combatants for 1 American traitor
Gave Iran billions of dollars in exchange for NOTHING
    Enabled ISIS
    Did NOTHING about border security
    Did NOTHING about NK
    Sold uranium to the Russians
Was "the least prepared man in the room", when talking to military leaders

He fucked the economy, he divided the people, he fucked up healthcare, he fucked up national security, he was wrong about every policy prediction without exception

How much more do the fucking idiots want?

You have to be blind, ignorant, stupid, dumb, naive, uninformed and libtarded to think the right has never defined why Obama sucked.

You have to possess that "special kind of ignorance"

Willie, you have it all wrong. This Iran deal is something new, since ISIS infiltrated Syria. As for Israel, Syria has been at a relative calm with them for decades, probably more than any Arab country in the area. And yes, there has always been stability in Syria, more than in any other Arab state. Believe what you wish and hear on the news, it's all good and I have no problem with it. But, I'm just stating the facts and everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Also, not defending Iran or anyone, as I think they are extremists. But, in the last 30 years, what has Iran exactly done to hurt anyone? Yes, they are radical and talk a lot of trash, but what have they done? In the same time span, we have destroyed 4 or 5 countries and caused the rise of ISIS. Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, Somalia, Egypt to a certain extent, and now in the process of destroying Syria are just a few I can think of. Also, yes Saddam was better for Iraq than what they have now......

Many of my opinions about Syria come from a Lebanese Muslim that still has family there. He still conducts business in the ME, and he still visits his family. He's probably in the ME two months a year

As for Iran, they are to this day one of the biggest exporters of terrorism in the world. Just like Saddam, they finance terrorism, they reward terrorism, they condone terrorism, they train terrorists and they supply terrorists, To this day, Syria is a proxy for Iran to finance and supply the war against Israel.

We have issues as well, but we would choose to live in peace. They choose NOT to, that's a huge difference.

Iran finances and Syria enables organizations that exist solely to destroy Israel. Their charters state there can be no peace until Israel does not exist. There is no way anyone can convince me I'm on the wrong side of the fence here, but I don't expect to change your mind either. We'll just have to agree to disagree

In today's news, US cyclists executed by muslims in Tajikistan.

US cyclists killed in ISIS-claimed attack in Tajikistan identified

By Lucia I. Suarez Sang | Fox News

The two Americans killed in an ISIS-claimed attack in Tajikistan were identified as Lauren Geoghegan and Jay Austin. (SimplyCycling.org)

The two Americans killed during an ISIS-claimed terror attack in Tajikistan were Washington, D.C.- area cyclists with a mission to bike across the globe.
Lauren Geoghegan and Jay Austin were among the four foreigners killed when a car rammed into their group south of the Tajik capital of Dushanbe on Sunday. The other victims were from Switzerland and the Netherlands.

Officials said the terrorists rammed into the group in Khatlon Oblast before getting out and attacking them with knives. ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack, while Tajik officials have pointed to another extremist group in the country.

The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for an attack on Western tourists in Tajikistan. (Google Maps)

According to their blog, Geoghegan and Austin began their journey in July 2017 in South Africa. They made their way to Dar es Salam then to Europe. In May, they flew from Istanbul, Turkey to Almaty, the largest city in Kazakhstan.
They last blog post was from July 11 after they cycled from Too Ashuu to Ala-Bel in Kyrgyzstan.
“We coast into a gorgeous green valley. We freewheel past yurts and cows and little Kyrgyz kids and their enthusiastic waves,” Austin wrote. “We pass a French cyclist coming in the other direction, stop to compare notes on roads cycles, and ride on just a little longer.”
Geoghengan’s family released a statement on Tuesday, saying the couple’s yearlong bicycle adventure “was typical of her enthusiastic embrace of life’s opportunities, her openness to new people and places, and her quest for a better understanding of the world.”
“Lauren’s sisters are deeply saddened by the loss of their older sister but treasure their rich memories of her love and of the example she set for them,” the statement continued, according to FOX5 DC. “We want to thank the staff of the U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, for their capable and compassionate assistance to our family at this difficult time.”
Georghegan was a 29-year-old graduate of Georgetown University, where she majored in government and minored in Spanish and Arabic. She worked at the university’s admissions office.
“We are heartbroken to hear of Lauren's passing in this devastating tragedy and have expressed our deepest condolences to her family. Lauren was a valued colleague and dear friend to many at Georgetown and an overall treasured member of our community,” Georgetown University Dean of Admissions Charles Deacon said in a statement.
Austin worked at Boneyard Studios, a small company building sustainable homes.
“The tiny house world just lost a beautiful soul. Jay Austin, of the former Boneyard Studios, left this world doing what he loved (connecting with people and cycling the world) with the person he loved (Lauren Geoghegan),” the company said in a Facebook statement. “Jay, you didn't only build a house, you built a home for yourself and for so many around you. Thank you for all the beauty and light you brought into this world.”
The U.S. State Department said it is working closely with Tajik authorities to investigate the attack.
