Why the Cardinals on Wednesday at -130...the Red Birds come into game three of the series against the Rockies after a Tuesday loss. Toeing the slab for St. Louis will be Luke Weaver who has been sharp of late posting a 3.37 era over his L16 IP where he allowed 18 H on 2 HRs. On the season, Weaver does carry a bloated 5.04 home era, but with a 3.46 K/BB home ratio compared to his 2.07 K/BB on the road, this is a good spot to back Weaver with a BOB Score of 135 against an underexposed Rockies lineup of 13 ABs. Weaver coming out of his LS with just 81 pitches thrown, which should play well for Luke with his velocity holding since the the break, coming home to where he his comfortable with the K's. Kyle Freeland comes into Wednesdays's matchup with a 3.64 road era (2.45 home era). Looking into Freeland's last road start vs. the DBacks, he allowed 4 ER over 5 IP on 3 Ks and 3 BBs. Freeland has seen his WHIP hover above SA over his L4 Starts which is a red flag when looking at his velocity numbers dip below SA with his FBv and CTv over his L2 Starts. With 110 pitches thrown in his LS, going to fade Freeland against a Cardinals lineup that has seen 3 LHP in their L5 Days to match a 3-0 record. Cardinals currently taking 30% of the action with line movement from -123 to -130.
