How can officials at Ohio State say the investigation into this matter will be done in 14 days?

That tells me they already know what they are going to do.

I agree, and I think it comes down to this. Does Ohio State satisfy some crazy football fans and take on the entire women's movement or not. If they are dumb enough to trust this liar, they will get what they deserve, which is some severe penalties from the NCAA. The NCAA will still drive Meyer out, just like they did Pete Carroll at USC. I think it is a bunch of caca, but Meyer got himself into this mess. He obviously cannot win without cheating, nor can Ohio State. I never see Nick Saban put himself in these situations. Why is it always schools that Meyer coaches or coached at?

    No, Nick is too slick.
Iowa has a 22 yr old publicly intoxicated - suspended, a 19 yr old DUI, suspended.

Nick had Cam Robinson (and Jones) back 2016 in a Louisiana park at 2:30am with weed in the car, gun on the seat, stolen gun under the seat. Yet somehow the Louisiana DA drops the charges, says and I quote; "
I want to emphasize once again that the main reason I'm doing this is that I refuse to ruin the lives of two young men who have spent their adolescence and teenage years, working and sweating, while we were all in the air conditioning." Wonder who steered him that way?

Cam never missed a game. Some community service, gun training, etc, but never missed a game. SLICK!

How embarrassing for Ohio State. They hold a rally for Meyer, started by some fan in South Carolina, and they get all of 100 people to show up. That tells me that the vast majority of Ohio State fans could care less about Meyer and whether he goes or stays. That rally sure did not do Meyer any favors. The father of Dallas RB Ezekiel Elliott was there to support Meyer. The same Ezekiel Elliott that was suspended for 6 games by the NFL for Domestic violence, while he was at OHIO STATE. Sad. And the drunks that did show up at the rally blamed ESPN and the SEC for all of this.

The whole rally was inappropriate and stupid. Lasted about 20 minutes. Elliott's father being there really made it a laugh.
Oh, the Ohio State fans care, they really care. I think most are out purchasing bottle water, canned food, and ammunition waiting for the apocalypse.

The latest from Vegas indicates that the smart money is on Meyer being suspended for 6 games. If that is the case, that would include the game at Penn State and probably eliminate any chance of Ohio State winning the Big 10.

I disagree. Meyer is just the CEO of the team. Ryan Day is showing flashes of brilliance as a coach. Meyer suspended will galvanize this team. Schedule too easy except at Penn St. Lions may have defensive issues. At Mich St, Bucks win. If Michigan jells into a good offense and stays healthy they could be a problem at end of season. Other than that, clear sailing. Watch out for Haskins at QB, he is the real deal.

The real question is can Day, Wilson, and Schiano all get along without Meyer there? Both Wilson and Schiano skipped over for intrim coach because they both have baggage.
Or, maybe Ohio State gets bowl ban and/or probation. Doubt it, but could happen.

What's the Over/Under for how many times during the season the networks show the clip of Urban lying at Big10 media days?
Or how about how many times opposing team fans spell out LIAR with their arms and legs instead of OHIO. Gonna be interesting!

You're saying if Day were the head coach, he'd lead them to win 11 each year and compete for a title without Meyer? Is that what you're saying?

No, I don't see where I said that. Let me repeat myself with a little more explanation.1. All this bullshit will galvanize this team in the preseason, not bring them down.2. All the wondering will be gone by the start of game #1, we will know, they will know Urban's fate.(looks like suspension right now)Urban not being there for six games will not adversely affect their performance in those six games. (That is what I'm saying)3. Look for Ryan to succeed. He was named primary play caller last January. With Haskins, a very good passer, at QB all the pieces fit for an explosive offense. Now how he and Kevin Wilson work together is to be seen.Word from Buckeye practices is that Day is working with QB's, like he normally does, and not overseeing the entire team like HC Meyer would do. I do not see Meyer suspended causing extra Buckeye loses THIS YEAR.

First of all, you sound like a huge Ohio State homer. If Day is that good (and he is NOT) why not just fire Meyer and save the school a lot of headaches? Then you make this ridiculous post: "Urban's fate.(looks like suspension right now)Urban not being there for six games will not adversely affect their performance in those six games." Are you trying (in your homer way) to tell us that Meyer being suspended for the Penn State game in University Park is NOT going to adversely affect the team? This is a perfect example of "Posting While Intoxicated". Totally unbelievable.

Coach I hope he is fired and disappointed it did not happen already. IMO the bottom line is he lied, he could have said numerous things in response but he lied. Speaks to the mans character. Unfortunately for you , there will not be a "lost decade" lol no offense but Florida is not Ohio State.. history tells us they will be fine with out him as they have been after every other coaches career.

An Ohio State Homer, I can't stop laughing. Dude, and no way your a Ms., I'm a lifelong MICHEEEEEGAN FAN. Born and raised in MICHIGAN. And yes, I'm am telling you they (OSU) have an assembled staff, as of right now, that can do just fine THIS YEAR. And they have an assembled group of players along with the easiest schedule to win out......until the Michigan game. Meyer or no Meyer.
I am hoping Michigan finds it's offense before their Big10 schedule starts. If healthy, Michigan can beat OSU at the Shoe if Patterson & Co. find some offense.

I know your hoping the Big10 beats itself up so the PAC12 can back into the playoff picture. About your only hope. And it could happen. But I think it's Ohio State and Michigan deciding the Big10 on Nov. 24th.

This is what I have; RSW Total; Ohio State Over 10.5 @ -115 They will cruise.
ND +2.5 Sept 1 against Michigan. Michigan will not be ready for game 1, need a few cupcakes to work the bugs out. But they will get there.
On Nov. 24th I may hedge my OSU bet, if they have one lose, by betting a Michigan ML.

Ohio State does not seem to be in any hurry to resolve this matter. This Investigation Committee has not talked to anyone of importance as of yet. They have not talked to the principals involved, the coaching staff and their wives, the athletic department, and the school Administration about any of this. Their self imposed two week deadline does not seem to matter to them. Very strange indeed.

If the Snook story is true, then Meyer is obviously safe. Doubt he gets a game suspension

It seems very odd that this story is just dragging on with no apparent attempt to get to the truth being made. I get this feeling that Ohio State is looking for the easiest way out. If that means suspension, so be it. if that means termination, so be it. Meyer will get some sort of punishment. You can put the mortgage on that. Ohio State is just waiting for their informants on the NCAA level to tell them what to expect if they act a certain way. Meyer is going to be cut down to size, no matter what people think. That is the way the NCAA wants this to go down. If Ohio State refuses to do it, they will, and they will also take A.D. Gene Smith and the Ohio State Football Program with him.

It just gets worse and worse. It appears that no one knows who to believe and who not to believe anymore. One thing is for sure. Meyer should have gotten rid of this problem when he found out about it back in 2015. He will pay for that mistake.

Worst case scenario is a couple game suspension for Meyer. This won’t have any long-term effect on the program. The more that comes out, the less credible Courtney Smith looks.

One thing I know for sure: Buckeye fans will make sure to show him extra support in his first game back. Standing ovation.

Whether or not you think that should happen is very debatable; I’m just saying that is what’s going to happen.

With or without urban, OSU is by far the best team in the B10 year in and year out. They'll spank Michigan AGAIN and have a solid season as per usual

This is ridiculous. All this bullshit keeps coming out. Frankly I don't care if courtney smith's mother in law or mother don't believe her. I don't care if she said i'm taking the whole program down with me. The fact of the matter is that if her text messages are truly correct then we know for an absolute fact that this coach abused her and that urban's wife knew about it, which means urban knew about it. He won't get fired for it even if he should but those are the facts. Ohio fans can try to soften it as much as they want by making the wife look like an asshole and maybe she is, but her texts clearly show that he was abusing her and in my mind there is zero chance urban didn't know it too. With that said the schools "investigation" is pathetic. They haven't talked to a single person thats involved in the ordeal. That seems like that might be important if you're trying to find out the truth.

Actually, the other way around. If Urban were to get canned, than folks like YOU, will be saying "You never could beat Urban". On no, we want him there.
