Dana White says it's 100% on ... Conor McGregor vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov is set for Oct. 6 at UFC 229 in Las Vegas!!!

It'll undoubtedly be the biggest fight of the year for the UFC -- Conor's first fight back in the Octagon since his boxing match with Floyd Mayweather.

The last time Conor fought for the UFC was back in 2016 when he avenged his loss against Nate Diaz.

The Conor vs. Khabib match was announced at a special UFC media event in Los Angeles on Friday -- and while neither of those fighters showed up, Dana said he's pumped about it.

I'll probably bet Khabib in some fashion, that's just a brutal style matchup for McGregor.

If I don't, I'd like to see McGregor win though. Would want to see his kickboxing triumph over Khabib's grappling/wrestling base. Khabib's a fun fighter to bet (24-0) but a boring ass fighter to watch otherwise and it would probably be bad for the sport if the most stacked division was tied up with him laying ontop of people for the next 2 years.

Absolutely hilarious/bizarre to think Mayweather was less of a fav to KO McGregor than Khabib is to beat him though.

I just checked and it's down to -140.

I can't see it going lower than that, only higher. Khabib hasn't lost a round in forever (besides maybe giving 1 away vs Iquinta when he had the fight locked up?)

-140 is way low imo...I'll be surprised if I don't pop Khabib for a good # there, but prob gonna try to read a little more analysis.

Well, I would say Khabib would win... b/c once it goes to the ground I would imagine McG would get absolutely embarrassed. In fact, it could be humiliating.

On the other hand, in Khabib's last fight he left his chin exposed like a fat steak running past Michael Moore's house --- it would be pounced on in a second. And so, to be honest, I will be betting not to win but for entertainment rooting value. And that would be on McG b/c it will be exciting.

So I'll lose money but I'll get greater excitement out of it. If I favored winning money, I'd coldly bet Khabib. If McG wins, then that's even better.

I would love to see some Khabib dream matchups. But it will never happen.

Khabib vs Gastelum. Have you seen how Kennedy and the Crocodile couldn't do shit to get Gastelum to the ground (or for extended periods). This would be a fun fight.

Khabib vs Woodley.

Khabib vs Maia -- probably be the most exciting fight in history. And they would be on each other's back so much that by the end of the 3rd round one of the fighters would be pregnant in his asshole with the other fighter's baby

Khabib vs Masvidal

Please have Khabib move up a division.

Interesting. What do you think about Gastelum and Woodley vs Khabib.

If the Crocodile couldn't do damage on the ground vs Gastelum, do you think Khabib would? What about Khabib vs Crocodile. Khabib and Gastelum are almost the same height and build, no?

Khabib/Woodley could happen if both win a few more fights. Don't see the others happening. Gastelum is 2 weight classes bigger than Khabib now.

Khabib/Covington could happen too

Khabib should become a pretty big star if he beats McGregor. Just tough to say how big since his fights really aren't very entertaining at all.

Yea,I was gonna say I’m not entertained by Khabib either,and also throw Covington into the mix. Like him or not,he has the arsenal to beat Khabib as well,and I believe he could.
