The Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots will square off on Thursday at Gillette Stadium in a Super Bowl LII rematch, albeit in a preseason matchup.

The Eagles will be greeted with a reminder of their 41-33 victory thanks to a billboard erected just down the road from the Patriots’ home stadium.

A photograph has been posted online depicting the billboard, which is located less than a mile away from Gillette Stadium.

Not surprisingly, the billboard was the brainchild of an Eagles fan, Gina Lewis, who snapped the above pic.

Gina Lewis, who described herself on Twitter as “an Eagles fan in New England,” financed the billboard with money raised on GoFundMe. The original goal of $5,000 to cover the billboard fee was reached in less than a month. The page is remaining active until Sept. 13 to raise funds to pay Spector for his work. After that, any remaining donations will go toward Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz’s AO1 Foundation.

The billboard celebrates Foles catching his touchdown pass on the now-iconic “Philly Special” play on the left. On the other side, Brandon Graham’s strip sack of Tom Brady late in the fourth quarter is depicted. Interestingly, both plays previously inspired Eagles fans to get tattoos (here and here).

The two images on the billboard obviously have been altered to not run afoul of any copyright issues.

All that said, the message remains the same … surely to the chagrin of Patriots fans in the vicinity of the billboard, as it reportedly will remain in place for the next four weeks, per Boston.com.
