The season-long roster dump has finally caught up to the Marlins. You can't lose your entire starting outfield, first baseman and go with a 5 man no-quality starting pitching staff and expect to compete. In the Marlins last 14 games, they are 2-14 straight-up. But get this - had you played them at +1 1/2 on the run line - you'd still be a pathetic 4-14. To keep our average lay down to a very reasonable level, I'm recommending to lay -1 1/2 on all the Marlins opponents who are still in the playoff hunt. For the more conservative bettor willing to lay higher odds, then laying -1 on the run line should do the trick. Either way, this should be a moneymaker for the rest of the season.
