So... last fall I had a great time taking my son to see the Pats in New Orleans. I got to meet Willie and Gas Man, we had a great time.

I'm looking at prices for games to do it again this fall. Patriots are playing the Titans in November.

The cheapest nose-bleed seats are $250 each, and the prices quickly escalate from there.

WTF.

I can't justify that bullshit.

Pisses me off.

I am a dolphins season ticket holder. Games are priced differently depending on who they're playing. I know my pats tickets are probably the most expensive tickets in my package.

I wonder if all teams do this? If so, then the pats are probably (or 1 of) the most expensive teams in everyone's package

Former GF now wife tried to take me to an NFL game a few years ago for my birthday. Shit seats were more than $200 a piece. I asked her to find anything else for us to do as I quit supporting pro sports many years ago.

Unless giving pro sports your money involves entertaining a client or entry toward a later positive deal, hopefully you'll find something else to do with your time and money.

Its crazy how high they are. Luckily I just won 2 tickets to the Bengals / Steelers game On October 14th from my company picnic. I’m pumped An can’t wait. Only 17 rows up right at the 30 yard line seat 1 and 2

Most teams in all leagues employ the dynamic pricing now. It sucks for the fans, but the ticket brokers do it.

I would think ticket prices would be plummeting since no one watches NFL football any more, according to people on here. I guess supply/demand doesn't apply to NFL football.

Haha, that's our road trip this year. Nashville baby !!!!!!!!!!!

Haven't checked for game tickets just yet. I have been checking flights and hotels, and they're higher than I expected. It is Veterans Day weekend and I'm sure Patriot Nation is flocking to that beautiful city.

Instead of flying out Thursday and returning Monday, looks like we're flying out late Wednesday night and returning Tuesday to save $ 200+ per ticket. If we fly into Atlanta and drive 3 hours, we could do Thursday and Monday and save $ 300, that may be an option too since we don't need spend extra money on hotels. Or if we're thinking about Wednesday night through Tuesday, driving becomes an option. The more I think about it, the more I like driving.

Suffice to say, I wasn't expecting these issues either

Not every city is impacted, but ratings are and that's undeniable. it's simple math

Was looking to do Nashville this year for the pats too (did Nola like many last year)! Hotels are really expensive though. Add in game tix and just not sure trip worth it considering where else can go for same expense. Just not into nfl like I used to be (nothing to do with protests etc).

The best NFL viewing experience. AT&T Stadium-Jerry's World. You sit in the the nosebleeds around midfield and just watch the game on the enormous Jumbotron. You get the ambience of being inside the stadium and you watch the game on the worlds largest HDTV. You can still watch the game on the field but that screen makes all the difference. My ideal viewing would be to sit in a suite with a monitor right next to you. You watch the action live on the field and then be able to watch the replays on the monitor. They do not show enough replays on the Jumbotron's at the stadium. If a play is close they won't show it because the league is afraid of the refs taking abuse on non-challengeable calls. Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia a couple of years ago talked about how they enlarged the Jumbotron's. I was all excited when I went to a game after they did this. The actual monitor of the game action didn't enlarge at all. They just expanded the side panels to show large ads. It was incredible. I said this will really make a difference having a larger monitor. Now you can see an ad for Acme Supermarkets twice as large as it was before. The greed of these owners shows no bounds.

Living in Nebraska we don't have an NFL team but Nebraska tickets are not the easiest to get, especially now with Frost as the new coach. I used to be a season ticket holder, pay the donor fee, etc but I have found that getting tickets even to really big top 25 type games if I wait until the day before or the day off I can ALWAYS get tickets. Maybe not for face but pretty darn close and I refuse to sit in the nose bleed sections. And for games that are say vs Purdue I can always get them for well under face value if I wait.

Take the opener against Akron (yes Akron) right now on Stubhub they are about 100 bucks each (face is around $57) but come Friday and Saturday I will be there and won't pay more than $50 bucks. I do that with concerts too, never NOT been able to go. Are NFL games not the same way?

Depends on how the NFL team is doing. When the dolphins stink (like every year), tickets are super cheap for a 1pm game (if not playing pats/steelers/team with strong national following).

I could see how Nebraska tickets are going to be crazy this year now that "their son" came back. I see Nebraska going 6-6 this season. With that being said, the price of tickets should be lower on the secondary market later in the season due to their "average" record.

Akron tickets are high for next week for Frost's 1st game. I was actually shocked that this was going to be the prime time game shown on FOX

havnt been to an nfl game since week 17 of RG3's rookie year and likely wont be going again. Paid $700 for 2 tickets back then and probably spent another 200 inside the stadium etc. i honestly think the on tv experience is better and i can sit on my couch with unlimited beer and watch replays etc. Start going to hockey games if you want a great live event. sit so close, endless action, fights and still cheap comparatively.

Agree but check back on Akron tickets say Saturday at 3:00 (game is at 7pm) the lowest ticket price right now is $85 bucks for row 89. If history of me buying tickets holds true even with Frost back, those same tickets will be I will guess $40 bucks.

Of course the better the team is the more tickets are. I bought 2 tickets about 30 rows up for a game late in the season last year for 10 bucks each cause they/we stunk.
