The Jacksonville gunman was a gamer in the Madden tournament who lost, and he killed himself after opening fire, another competitor tells me.
I love Madden. I play often. I've seen how angry and hostile some of these players get. They take it very seriously but this is a whole different level. If this is true that he was basically a sore loser, then I'm repulsed, speechless and for some strange reason nauseous. It's as if, at least momentarily, I've lost hope in people.

I feel terrible for the victims and their families. Nobody would've expected this on a peaceful Sunday at a gaming event in such a beautiful place.
