second city's single selection Week 1

As a history, I have been above .500 in each of the two year's doing a single selection. I'm pretty sure I have hit above the 55% line of money winning demarcation. don't present myself as an insider or savant. Just a bum making picks for your use as you see fit.

My style with this is one and only one pick each week. Sometimes that will force me to make a pick I don't love for thread integrity and I try to tell you when this is true. It is not true this week

Northwestern +1.5 at Purdue

I have NW at +2.5. They are the better team (even without Thorson) but they have started the season slow in the past. Being a conference game I'm not expecting a slow start.

Speaking of Thorson the word is he is taking 1st team reps, looks great in fall camp. Concerning news is he said in early summer, "There is a reason you don't take hits for four months after surgery and a reason the entire process takes 8 months". He has not been officially medically cleared and the eight months is up on September 9th. May not see him this Saturday.

I think Fitzgerald is just playing games.

It is a few days short of 8 months and Thorson is taking all the first team snaps
