Does any team play anybody that matters? Or is week four just a bunch of games being played by guys who are about to be cut? Kinda like a scrub game?

If anyone knows of a team who's going to play some key players, post it in this thread

you can have some decent roster bubble players trying to stick with their team or have good film if they get cut. I think there is alot of effort in week 4 games, but very vanilla offense being run. Ive always thought week 4 unders would be a good play, but they adjust as totals are line about 7-10 points less that week 2-3 games.

maybe the jets. cant see philly giving a shit and they have the first game so their minds are already over this week. plus the jets still have a competition at qb and if they want to trade Bridgewater maybe gotta showcase him a little. only angle i can come up with

line went from pk to jets -4, so I think the public agrees with your idea

hmmm, maybe not then. i dont look at the lines closely and just took a quick look and thought that may be a good angle.

atl went from -2.5 to pk, so I think the public is really betting against teams in the opening game

I dont even know if the Jets have a number 4 qb but i am going to assume he would play 100% of that game. The reason i say this is that Teddy's value is very high right now for trade bait and why risk a useless injury?

Sure, just blindly bet on ML dogs. Fuck I'd bet on two pickles sliding down the wall.

Look for running qbs who can make a play. May want to look at 2H unders in these games also.

All good input, but I'm looking for that 2nd string QB battle or stuff like that, if any

People over analyze pre season. Last week many were laying a touchdown with the Chiefs against Bears. Had zero chance to cover the whole game. You have a better chance in pre season than you do in the regular season, but you have to think for yourself. Just bet against the obvious public opinion. Worst case you are 50-50 anyways.

hard not like Baltimore one more time, with Griffin and Jackson vs. Kevin Hogan. Colt McCoy is not even dressing, at least that was the report earlier in the week. I got in earlier at -3 and assume that is why line went up along with Baltimore's record in preseason. Been fortunate to get early lines in all of their games this year.

Being the degenerate I am I always take the team that wouldn't win a regular season match up.
I always have a few bucks left so it has worked so far :):)

Sample size will be small but someone should backtest how the 2 Thursday night opening game teams do in their final preseason game. This game started in 2002 or 2003 I believe. Everyone takes the final preseason game like it is BS but if you have a game coming up in 7 days it is possible that you do it even moreso. Coach possibly doesn't bother at all and just finds it to be a giant inconvenience.

Miami crushing ATL tonight a good example.
