ACME oyster bar on Iberville St, sit at the bar on the right when you walk in and get you a dozen raw shucked right in front of you, throw em on a cracker with some hot sauce and wash em down with a cold brew

Damn I miss that place....

Agree. On the beignets.

But.....if it is like it was when I was there years ago...... Half a block in any direction off Bourbon Street is a total dump. And a bit dangerous to and scary be around.

Some ideas:

Have a po-boy at Johnny’s Po-Boys on St. Louis
Have gumbo, jambalaya and crawfish etouffee anywhere
Try the barbecue shrimp at Mister B’s Bistro on Royal
Drink a hurricane at Pat O’Brien’s
Walk around the garden and cemetery district
For an old school, classic dinner visit Arnaud’s on Bienville
Have a few beers anywhere with live music

Stanley for brunch. Eggs Benedict with fried oysters and fried soft shell crab. Great red beans and rice. Make sure you have a hand grenade. Charbroiled oysters at dragos. Best po boys and oysters are in the garden district at superior seafood.

Its not. Half a block in any direction doesn't look much different.

New Orleans sounds interesting. Some food, some Jazz and maybe look for the treasure in " The Secret".
