The reason to use a VPN is best for when you are on an outside WiFi like staying at a Hotel that offers Free WiFi
in most cases when I'm away from home and don't have my one laptop which has it's own WiFi chip, I will use my Norton VPN which protects you when
say, checking your banking or doing any business.
When you stay at a Hotel, Resort, etc ... their WiFi can be an open book and can be hacked.
These new services that Avast, Norton and others can come in handy

Thanks, I had not thought of that as a reason to get it again... Several years ago, I had one from some company that did only that and used it 100% of the time... Then my Internet provider threatened to close my account for some reason that was not exactly "that", but they wanted full access, I guess. But I can see using one for traveling.
