That was the strangest tennis match I’ve ever seen last night

If it weren’t for the fact it was Roger I would have almost said it was rigged

When roger was up a set and 5/4 40/15 serving in the 2nd set millman had to be be no less then a 20000/1 dog at that point .

Maybe the most longshot odds I’ve ever seen in a sporting event ever overcome .

I've seen this a lot with Roger over the years.

He was afraid of Djokovic. He knew he would get absolutely destroyed against Djokovic.... so he mentally crashed and burned against a semi-journeyman in Millman. He's done this many times when the fear of a future opponent messed with his brain and made him crash versus another opponent.

He was up 2-0 sets on Anderson and had MP (I believe) and lost in Wimbledon just weeks ago.

It was better for Fed to lose against Millman instead of having Djokovic destroy him.... like Nadal destroyed Roddick about 8 years ago or whatever.

Now that Djokovic is back, the era of Fed winning majors is officially over. Just look at this year's USO. He would've had to beat Djoker, then a tough match in the semis... and then a tough final against Nadal or whoever. Was not going to happen.

This year's Wimbledon was Fed's last chance to win another Wimbledon... as he might.. might've... had a chance in the final. From now on I think Fed will not win another slam.

It's been said many times before, but I know think Fed is officially done winning slams.

Sad thing is that Djok-Fed match on Wed would've been the best ever in the history of sports. Fed was -150 in Cincy and he got destroyed against Djoker.

They probably would've put Djok -200 maximum ... and that would've meant a ridiculously low handicap.

But also, we saw recently that Fed was like 0-10 on handicaps recently. Something truly ridiculous. And if that is a representation of anything, it is of an overvaluing of Fed... although caps in tennis you have to be careful with.

Agree it was bizarre. I had Millman +8 games and thought I was toast.

It was the heat/humidity, it really got to Roger. The 1st thing I said to myself as I watched it was that I have noticed over the years, Roger doesn't usually sweat much, he just destroys people and never breaks a sweat, but he was pouring with sweat here. He had to be treated after the match immediately, it was on ESPN.

More like father time. The guy is 37 years old. Millman played under the same conditions. I'm his biggest fan. But age has caught up to the guy. Let's not use the weather as an excuse.
