Anyone else ever seen them live? I've been to a lot of concerts but have never seen them and I love their older music great workout music. While I had a really good time (which I always do at concerts for just about anyone playing) I was probably a little disappointed. They played new stuff for almost all of the 1st half of the show, which makes sense but I didn't know any of the songs and you could barely hear the lead singer on top of that. I get it, it's heavy metal.

But some of the classics were great and sounded great, just expected more of a show. Kind of a weird deal, can't put my finger on it but expected it to be one of the best concerts I had ever been to and it was just ok. Some awesome moments, Sad But True sounded the best I've ever heard. Seek and Destroy was kind of meh.

I'm also big on checking out setlists before i go to a concert so i know what to expect.

Also if the set lists are pretty consistent, i know when to go out to grab a drink or a pee break.

Just curious is you had a chance to check out the Guns N Roses tour (if you are a fan) in the past 3 years?

Never did see Guns N Roses, wasn't a big fan. But have some friends that can't believe I don't like them!

I thought about doing the set list but I also like not knowing what they are playing, especially when I know so many of their songs.

Man, I didn't know that you can see setslist before you go to a concert. How do you do that?

These are setlists from previous shows, not the one you are planning to see

If i'm on the fence about getting last minute tix to a concert, i like to look to see what they play.

Also if i didnt go to a concert, i like to see what was played

I saw Metallica in the late 90's at an indoor venue. Was a good show but I ONLY knew songs that were played on MTV and a few others as i'm not a huge fan.

Saw Guns last year. 1 of the best concerts i've ever been to. Great concert (if a fan)

Metallica hasn't put out good music in 25 years. Their early stuff is sick. After AJFA. Blah. Not to mention Napster

True that. I hope they didn’t play that Prince cover last night. Utter garbage...

Actually saw Metallica, Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit in Orlando. Had to have been early 2000's. It was a good concert but I'd agree that my expectations for Metallica were to high apparently cause I was a little disappointed.

I know they are garbage now and a lot of people didn't like them back then but i saw Limp Bizkit in concert 3 or 4 times and they put on a fantastic show. Saw them once with Godsmack and that was a fantastic concert. Zac Brown is really good live. Saw Aerosmith and kid rock, that was better then i was expecting

Limp Bizkit is underrated IMO. Few really really good songs...

I saw Motley Crue last year and thought it was awesome. But oddly enough Alice Cooper opened for them and I thought he was fantastic (oddly being how much I enjoyed it). Even at his age, really cool performance. He has a younger gal on guitar that was slaying and on top of that she was smoking hot. That didn't hurt either.

Too many to list but one of my all time favorites was Black Eyed Peas about 10 years ago, great show and great music. Didn't think I would love it either, got a last minute invite.

Metallica, Guns N' Roses, and Faith No More. I was 14, played for like 8 hours. It was kickass. Only thing that could've made it better is if Kurt Cobain wouldn't have refused to be apart of the Stadium Tour, and would've been them instead of Faith No more. Still a time to remember, though...

I'm a big fan of the show when going to a concert and limp bizkit put on a hell of a show. Fred Durst would always come out into the crowd and shit and interact with the fans. They were good.

I saw motley crue with KISS probably 2012. Was never really a fan of kiss but it was actually a really good show. Crue is just great

Jimmy Buffett is one show where I was ready to leave half way through it. Was never a fan but usually concerts are fun anyway. This one i remember being over it by like his 3rd song.

Saw Metallica with The Cult way back in the day, outstanding show. Not as good live now for a number of reasons. Another band that wasn’t as good live IMO was Led Zeppelin.

If you can find the Metallica interview from the Howard Stern show from a few years ago, it it really good (The interview occurred right before Mariano Rivera's last game so whatever year that was). They performed "one" in studio. I remember i was driving to work and banging my hands on the wheel during the drum solo!!
