Houston at Texas Tech

Houston looks for revenge after losing to TT at Houston last year 24-27 ...

Texas Tech so far TY ...very similar to 2 teams which Houston handled easily TY

Rice ....vs Run ranked 93 / 206 Yards per game .... Houston averaged 6.8 yards per rush vs Rice

Arizona ....vs Run 106 / 240 Yards per game ......Houston averaged 7.4 yards per rush vs Arizona

Houston Runs the ball 54% of the time ... that's 55th out of 130 Teams

Texas Tech ....vs Run 94 / 210 Yards per game

now Houston vs the Pass ranks 116th out of 130 Teams in average yards per game vs the Pass and Texas Tech throws the ball 59 % of the time which is ranked 11th most out of 130 Teams ....

Houston turned the ball over 5 times last year in a 3 point loss ...but I have the feeling they will run more often this year than last year which gives TT less chances to score ...

Possible play when line available .... Houston - ???

Any feel on this game guys ?

There is no line posted yet because T-Tech QB is listed as questionable for the game. Houston's defense is not as good as advertised. They failed to cover against Rice.

There’s a line for the TT game. Opened at -3, currently -2 at Westgate, and -2.5 a few other places(mainly offshore). Rotation #s 169 & 170.

Florida is a 20 point favorite against Colorado State. I'm not sure Florida is capable of scoring more than 24-31 points....and UF's defense is a train wreck; will be starting a true freshman CB (but returns starting MLB David Reese and DE CeCe Jefferson). I can see this game being a 27-20 type of score. (As a UF fan, I hope it's a blowout...but the team is trending down and Mullen has his hands full w/ the shit show that Butters left him).

Off the Upset of Msu last weekend ... will Sun Devils be up for this game vs a back-up ?? I know Edwards is a motivator ...so unsure ...but my play will be SD St + ...I hope 6 1/2 or 7 ???

SD ST ...info on Back-Up

[h=2]Backup quarterback Ryan Agnew will fill in for Christian Chapman.[/h]San Diego State starting quarterback Christian Chapman is out and will miss anywhere from three to six weeks. His projected return date could be as the early as against Boise State. The senior quarterback was carried off the field Saturday with a sprained MCL. Redshirt junior Ryan Agnew finished the game and will be the starter for the foreseeable future.
Agnew has been a backup his entire career at San Diego State, only appearing in 10 games in his three seasons. A redshirt junior out of Southland, Texas, Agnew was recruited by the Aztecs in 2015 and had several offers from Group of 5 schools to play quarterback.
Agnew was recruited to San Diego State with the quarterbacks Nick Bawden, Christian Chapman, and Jake Rodrigues in front of him. Maxwell Smith would transfer from Kentucky later in the year to be the starter for that season. After seeing the quarterback spots settle between Maxwell Smith and Christian Chapman, Agnew chose to redshirt his freshman year.
Agnew is a Christian Chapman clone as someone who can manage the running game, make throws, and scramble when needed. He played in a spread offense in high school and didn’t play much under center. To Agnew’s credit, Rocky Long has recruited strong running backs since his tenure at San Diego State. Agnew doesn’t need to play hero ball when their best player is behind him in the backfield.
Agnew can make his presence felt during this week at practice as they prepare for Arizona State. The offensive line has to block better in pass protection. Agnew has to sharpen his throws and give San Diego State a chance to upset the Sundevils at home.
