[h=1]Trump blasted for double fist pump at 9/11 memorial service[/h]DONALD Trump is facing a storm of criticism after a surprising gesture during a memorial service for the victims of September 11.
Charlotte Willis@lottiewillis

DONALD Trump is being savaged on social media for his bizarre entrance into a September 11 memorial service on the 17th anniversary of the terror attacks.

The US President was pictured greeting supporters as he arrived with his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, at the memorial event in Pennsylvania.

As he and his wife made their way toward the crowd in Johnstown to pay their respects to the fallen heroes of United Airlines Flight 93, Mr Trump fired off a sudden double fist pump.

Critics were quick to label the triumphant gesture as displaying a “lack of respect” and an “inability to feel empathy for another person’s loss.”

The emphatic fist pump didn’t go unnoticed on Twitter, nor did a series of his trademark thumbs-ups throughout the day.

The couple was en route to visit the Shanksville memorial site, where Mr Trump delivered a tribute to about 3000 victims of crashed Flight 93.

“On September 11, 2001, a band of brave patriots turned the tide on our Nation’s enemies and joined the immortal ranks of American heroes,” he remarked near where the aircraft went down 17 years ago.

“This field is now a monument to American defiance. This memorial is now a message to the world: America will never, ever submit to tyranny.”

That's crazy they keep allowing you to post. I dunno how you don't get banned.

Is the story untrue? No? Is it about politics? Yes. Then, what's the beef? Oh, you don't like the story, because it makes our (not) esteemed leader look like the steaming sack of shit that he is, and you don't like it. Boo-hoo. HERE'S a novel approach: if you don't like the story, don't READ it, genius. I think it's "crazy" that you and others don't seem to grasp that simple concept.

Very well said, Dafinch. I don't know what people expect from a man who stated that he saw thousands of Muslim cheering as the buildings went down... and this was proven to be a lie. What do they expect from a man who, on the day of the 9/11 attacks, callously bragged that he now had the tallest building in Manhattan. What do they expect from a man who bragged that he lost hundreds of friends on 9/11, then was proven to have lost......no friends. Trump didn't attend the funeral of one single person who was lost on 9/11. I'm not surprised that this soulless sociopath would make such a callous and meaningless gesture.

God rest all the souls who were lost on 9/11/2001, and all the grieving people who actually did lose a loved one on that day. My eternal gratitude goes out to all the first responders and other heroes who risked and sacrificed their lives to save the lives of others.

Nah, I just think it's bizarre they let you keep posting. Like an animal that can't be caged or something. I don't even know how to describe it.

Last as long as you can though. More power to you.

Who gives a shit what you think is bizarre(although, I'll take a flyer and guess that you don't think the numerous consecutive postings of a nitwit who often copies a dozen posts by other people, with neither comment, nor explanation are bizarre, right?)? And, you STILL haven't explained, if you're so disinterested, why you don't mind your own business and stay out of the thread?

The numbers: The number of job openings in the U.S. climbed to a record 6.94 million in July in a clear sign that a booming economy is entering the second half of the year with a big dollop of momentum.

Job openings rose from 6.82 million in June, the government said Tuesday.

Workers who switch jobs usually get better pay than those who remain in their old ones. And more people switch when they are confident about the economy.
What happened: Job openings increased the most in insurance, finance and manufacturing.

Big picture: The U.S. economy is booming. Growth surged in the spring and has carried through summer. Unemployment is uber-low at 3.9%, layoffs are at a 50-year low and small-business owners say they are more optimistic about the economy than ever.

Some workers are taking advantage of the strong economy and tight labor market by switching jobs in search of better pay.

Small business optimism surges to highest level ever, topping previous record under Reagan

September 11, 2018

U.S. small business optimism surged to a record in August as the tax cuts and deregulation efforts of President Donald Trump and the Republican-led Congress led to more sales, hiring and investment, according to a survey by the National Federation of Independent Business.

The NFIB Small Business Optimism Index jumped to 108.8 last month, the highest level ever recorded in the survey’s 45-year history and above the previous record of 108 in 1983, set during the second year of Ronald Reagan’s presidency. The August figure was up from a 107.9 reading in July.
