Let me try to summarize it if I can. Feel free to correct the inaccuracies.

Female cop comes home after a 12+ hour shift to an apartment she's lived in around 2-3 months. She parks on the wrong floor as apparently, the floor you park on lines up with your apartment floor.

She goes to what she thinks is her apartment and puts her key in and the door pushes open without the key. Inside it's dark and she sees a shadowy figure and he moves. She pulls her gun and yells at him to stop and then fires and kills the guy.

The problem is the apartment was not hers and she was on the wrong floor. Guess she thought it was her place and thought some guy broke into her apartment.

Thoughts? This is going to be a tough conviction despite the black community yelling about a black man being shot unarmed in his own apartment.

Negligent homicide?

I don't think this is a tough conviction personally. I couldn't just say oh I thought it was my apartment my bad. I get it and if that is what truly happened it sucks but she killed a guy that was in his own apartment because of her fuck up. Pretty simple to me

Of course, there is no thread on the RX: It is a white cop shooting a black guy. Nothing to see here.

But, to analyze the cop's story, it seems unlikely that a guy is at home in his own apartment with all of the lights out (unless he is asleep), and the front door ajar. It will be interesting to see what he was wearing when he was shot. Pajamas?

I think the he cop is making up the part about the lights being out and her giving verbal commands. She thought it was her place, walked in like anyone does after a day of work, and blasted the guy at first sight.

If you'd like, we can start a thread each time a white cop shoots a black guy who had a gun and was firing at the cops? We can do that for you.

if posted, those threads would outnumber threads where a white cop shoots an unarmed black man by a country mile.

I agree but the charges are what will be up for debate.

You missed the point and changed the subject.

cops are supposed to shoot guys who are shooting at them. They are not supposed to shoot people in their own apartment.

Cops can't wait for people to shoot at them before they shoot so you're incorrect there but carry on.

Here is an example of where you go off the rails and why people dislike you. When given a chance to debate the given subject or to debate another poster, you always choose the later.

You best just leave the thread and not return.

Other wise this thread will be 8 pages long in about 30 minutes.

He's on 1 of his cloudy,combative trips.

Do you have something constructive to add to the conversation?

You said something that was innacurate and needed to be corrected. Cops don't wait to be shot at before they shoot a suspect. Dumb thing to say.

Back on topic, I brought up a topic that interests me and you jump in right away and post about a white cop shooting a black man. You're trying to take the thread to the sewer.

Does he ever? Lol. He's just a silly harmless troll trying to rack up his post count even if it's all garbage. Lol.

I believe she's guilty based on what I read on this thread. So not exactly an informed opinion but I'm too lazy to do research on this so keep us posted. Face value I think she's guilty of at the very least mansalughter. Not sure how anybody can argue otherwise. You can't go around mistaking an apartment for your own and shooting people dead lol. Not exactly the best defense. It's classic mansalughter at the very least if not murder.

I agree man. Aren't cops supposed to have a keen eye and sense of awareness? Yet she's completely oblivious? I think she made up a good story. We'll see. Keep us posted op.

Probably negligent homicide or involuntary manslaughter. Not really anything to do with being a cops as she's not on the job. As far as cops go, liberals are usually unrealistic in how cops should handle things. Whatever they do it ends up with "you didn't need to do that"

I can confidently say that the day a police officer comes into my home thinking they live there and starts "shouting commands" at me is the same day they will die.

I hope she gets lethal injection.
