Referee a high school and/or youth sport. I have been refereeing high school soccer for about 4 years now and have refereed youth soccer for about 12. As Cheddar mentioned, volunteering is good as well.

There are a lot of people who are just built different then you, they feel the need to always be building something, the tend to be the more successful people in life actually.

I haven't worked in about a decade and I've racked up probably 6,000 volunteer hours in that time. PTA Treasurer, sports coach, teacher assistant, food bank helper, fundraising, advisor, board member. In the years my 3 kids went through their elementary school, I led a project to completely replace the school's playground equipment, raised over $75k and replaced all but their newest structure. You haven't lived until you've sat down to read through a 5 inch stack of thank you notes that overjoyed kids wrote. Plenty of rewarding things to do to add to your life's portfolio than trying to get a white ball into a cup, as fun as it can be.

In this day and age of technology there's many work from home opportunities especially customer service positions. There's several large companies that do the interview process over the phone, train you virtually, and you work from home. Full time wages, benefits, vacations etc. You do have to be somewhat tech savvy because you do the calling from your computer using a headset and software they have you download but it's not that difficult. You can work part time or full time. Several companies like this and large companies at that.

Not sure if you'd be interested in this type of work but it's perfect for students and retired people.

Best of luck.

That's one of them. Or go to Indeed.com and search for jobs under ''work from home'' or work from ''home customer service''

My nephew works at one of these companies and loves it.

It really depends on several things... Skill set and where your heart is being near the top of the list, assuming money is no issue. My personal MD for close to 20 years is over 70 years old..He told me that maybe retirement works for you, but I'm not there yet... He's of Indian decent and born in the USA (Florida).. His dad was an MD... He's a Magna Cum Laude from 2 US Universities, but very humble. I hope he never retires..

What's that old saying...

go to your local food bank and help out with their biweekly/monthly truck unloads, their weekly food handouts, etc

find a nearby community farm and help out with harvesting the vegetables, weeding/watering the plants, and planning for the different planting seasons

unless you need money then go greet folks at the Walmart entrance for minimum wage

This is a good topic. Just my two cents..I definitely think that when I was in my 20s, I could've easily fukked around all day, but now that I am in my 60s, I can't. I like to make $$ if I can.
I don't know if it's because I've been working for 50 years or what. I don't really understand it myself.

I'm too lazy to look it up too. I don't know. I'd have to research it or ask my kid nephew. Maybe tomorrow. Headed to the club now. TGIF baby. As I said it's mostly for students and retired people so probably around minimum wage?

Have a good one. Peace.
