Correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't the Ravens have kicked a FG with about 0:50 left in the game...?

Instead they run the clock down on themselves and only throw it one time to the end zone.

Lol, why not just kneel four times.

You kick the field goal with 50 seconds and you have a shot at an OS kick.... you get the ball, you have a shot. You don't get the ball, at least you tried.

Anybody explain this LES MILES math that the Ravens' coaching staff got going?

Flacco had one of the worst plays in NFL history when he threw that 3 yard pass to Ray Rice on 4th and 22 with like a minute left only to see Ray Rice make like 6 guys miss and gain 23 yards. I'll never forget that one.

Also thought about this. Even at 20sec its still possible to kick the fg and onside kick and hail mary?? I never understand why coaches don't do the exact situation to give them a chance to win????

In this case a FG would not have changed the ATS outcome either, would have helped Tucker owners in Fantasy

I remember Brad Johnson and the Viking were in the same situation must be 20 years ago now. The Vikings got a 1st down around the 25 with < 30 seconds and Johnson spiked the ball and HE ran off the field waving for the FG unit. The Vikings kicked the FG for the cover, but didn't recover the onside kick.

But he was fighting to win until the very last second. Maybe that's "old school" thinking, IDK anymore

I've seen it happen many times before. It's kind of out-of-the-box strategy but it seems to me that would be a good move in that situation.

Some coaches don't have common sense in these situations.

We've actually seen this several times thru the years.

A team needs a TD and a FG.

Some coaches seem to think that they have to get the TD first.

It doesn't matter!

It was even worse than I remembered.

Ravens ended the game with 5 passes of 8-10 yards.

Never threw to the end zone

I thought it was strange

Harbaugh was bitching about something to someone towards the ending.

Camera was on him.

what betting implications did that drive have? 2h total wasn’t in play regardless....ravens had already covered 2h. Why are the gamblers mad about this or suspicious?

Lmao exactly. Did Shitmaker have tucker on his fantasy team? Seems like this should be a justinlose thread, not a Shitmaker thread. One of the first Shitmaker threads I have ever seen really involving sports and he probably got the most replies he ever has in one day

it had major betting implications. earlier in the week when cin was -1 i teased baltimore to +8, as did thousands of bettors worldwide. it would have resulted in a push instead of a loss.

You play to win the game....surprised Harbaugh didn’t even think about it....

This is what the tread means to me mob. Harbaugh did not make decisions giving his team the best chance to win. Kick a 55 yard FG with just under 1 minute left, then try for an onside kick. Put a little game pressure on the Bengals, shit happens. We've seen it happen to GB in the playoffs recently.

Instead he let the clock run out
