You did say Rodgers was not playing today. And he would be out for half the season.

So I think your on a little cold prediction streak.

New sheriff in town.

Jags +1

Good luck!

All value with Jax. Road game against a good defense. They are at home and want revenge bad. But, Pats are Pats. They are sick on the road. I think this is the team with the style to do them in though. Hope so. Got Jax

I like Jags. Are Pats going undefeated this season? If not, this is one of the few games they lose IMO.

Brady will pick the Jags apart.

I hope your better with that fantasy football.

Why does he do this to me? Or in this case my team?

When I said I've been riding the red hot Reds, he said they were going to be battling for a playoff spot. They lost that game 17-4 and have now lost like 48 straight

In all seriousness, why are these type of threads in the main forum destined to lose? Not just the OP, but everyone who makes a brash bold prediction goes up in flames

Too many stupid mistakes by the Patriots. The missed FG on their first drive changed everything down the stretch. Would have been a 1 possession game. Paterson falls when he should make a 1st down with his speed. When Jacksonville naively jumps on 4th an inches, the Patriots were even dumber by not taking advantage of the moment.

Having said all that, the Jags were better and deserved to win. I mean Blake Bortles actually looks like a great QB vs NE, when he's actually one of the worse in the league. He loves playing NE

Fournette out was a nice blessing in disguise for JVille. Opened up their offense early in the game rather than run him into 8 guys for 25 plays like the AFCCG. I'm sure some of the change in philosophy was improving on mistakes from their loss, but it definitely helped make them more aggressive throwing the ball.

I figured NE would have a tough time moving the ball without Cannon/Edelman and Michel not fully integrated yet, but didn't think their D would just play so bad. Looked like the superbowl all over again.

Totally agree about Fournette. I've seen Jags play with him in the line up. It's so damn predictable. They rely on him way too much. This was good for Bortle's confidence also. Throwing the ball around. Great vengeance victory by Jags.

Patriots will be fine. This was a bad spot and it's September. Patriots will shake this off and kick Lions' asses next week on prime time haha.

Seems like they have to play at least one game like this, sometimes two, in the first few weeks of the season. That game when they look old, slow, ill prepared and over-matched.

NE will BURY the Lions next week!!

I'm more confident in November than I am in September games, today proved once again they're a lot less reliable this time of year

Why would you bet them today then?

Because they're the very best at winning and the very best ATS in the NFL in the Belichick / Brady era, and it's very rare they get such a short line. They're also good in games they're supposed to lose, although they're NOT perfect.

Last year started 2-2 SU & 1-3 ATS, finished 12-4 & 11-5 respectively. Two years ago 13-3 ATS, since 2003 60% ATS.

So I have my reasons for betting the Patriots, but they do put up clunkers like they did this week. They're much less likely to do so later in the year barring extenuating circumstances.

Betting on the Patriots has been a very rewarding "system" for 15+ years and counting

Seriously? are you calling me out?

I'm not allowed to ask a simple question? You said they were a lot less reliable this time of year so I asked the question.

LOL

I've noticed things about JC's threads he is wrong ~80% of the time, bumps when he wins, gets "busy" when he loses. Also people bicker back and forth in his threads a lot more than anyone else's threads.

The guy is a cancer and a lifetime loser.
