hello to all. i have started the season posting at what i am pretty sure is the biggest sports forum on the net. i have used it for years. all the ads have made the site glitchy and difficult to use, and it has really went downhill as far as content as well. i searched out a new home this afternoon and look forward to posting here. my record so far this season is less than impressive. if you really need to know i posted under the same name there. i will be adding plays later today and the rest of the week.

both teams have a shaky qb situation and strong rbs. i think this is a game with a lot of running plays, and a lot of grinding out 1st downs. i don't see how either coach would be wanting to depend on his qb to win the game, but more likely to make sure he doesn't lose it for them. i may be wrong, but it seems both teams will come in with a conservative game plan.

i don't think fau can keep up. unless there is something i am missing, less than 2 tds looks simple. southern cal is not based on any stats or trends. i just feel like that game last week is going to give them a kick in the butt. i expect them to come out and look like a completely different team. happens pretty much every season now with them doesn't it?

the spread smells of fish, so a close game is likely here. i just don't see tcu not scoring some points in this one, meaning texas is gonna need to score. maybe turnovers or special teams, but somehow they are gonna put up some points and stay close. otherwise i will be kicking myself for not pounding one of the easiest looking spreads of the season.

marshall run d is good enough to shut down nc state running game. in fact they are pretty good all over. i think this is going to be a great game, with marshall maybe even winning outright.

iowa state over 47.5 **
the akron d is good, but iowa state is gonna score some points. the new qb is careful and accurate and really impressed me last week. that should open things up for the running game and make for a pretty potent o. after facing the oklahoma and iowa d's, this should be like a warm knife thru butter.
west virginia -17 **
looks like a lot against kstate, but not with the cats being on the road. grier is going to light them up. kstate can't stop the run and that opens up the passing game in a big way. wv already had a game cancelled, and grier is a heisman contender. holgorsen has never been one to hold back once he gets ahead, and you gotta know he is gonna let grier toss it around. kstate sucks when they get behind early, and they are gonna be behind early.

arizona state put up 21 on a really good sdsu d, and the washington d hasn't looked as good as i thought they would be. really thinking asu scores 3 or 4 times, yet i have a hard time believing this game will be close. 38-24 dogs.
not playing any ncaa or nfl weeknight games because i am playing 10 games saturday. i am really ready for bed, so i am skipping the little write-ups this week.

i will take the points tomm, as scary as it may be to go against app state. georgia southern runs the same d as app state does, almost as well, led by a former app state d coach. arkansas state only put up 21 against ga southern, but they have had a week and a half to practice against it after facing it live the end of september. haven't seen the total yet, but i would expect kind of a defensive game, with the home team scratching and clawing to stay close. betting it small as app state is a really good team.

while studying for the app state\arkansas state game, i found plenty of good info on georgia southern. enough to convince me they should score just about every time the touch the ball this week against the bobcats. their d is plenty solid as well. i will lay the 17.
