Minnesota is the large favorite this week. Who do you guys like this week besides Minnesota?
Appreciate your thoughts and advice. Hope everyone has a great week 3!
Thank you for your help!

Take minny. With a spread greater than 15, underdog is 3-65 SU. Having value, most ppl who bet the game will throw a slice to the dog just in case it wins to get a that value. After all moneyline is a fool bet being that expensive on a fav. You have a greater chance of choosing minny to win vs any other team in this instance in my opinion.

picking spread the dog has a greater % of hitting on these. However I’m uncertain on this game

I prefer to save the better teams for as long as possible in survivor. My first two picks have been Ravens over buff and bears over Seahawks. This week I'll most likely be on raiders over Miami. Outside of Minny I think Pat's, jags and chiefs are great, but, again, I'm going to save those guys for later. It's also field size dependant. In small fields just try and be there week after week. In large fields save your better teams. Also, Minny coming off an emotionally draining the against their biggest rival and traveling to la in a game that will help mold playoff seeding. Don't be surprised if this one is closer than most expect.

Im strongly thinking about using the Raiders too. Minnesota is probably the safest play. It only takes Cousins having a bad game throwing a few picks and Buffalo could get lucky. I went with GB week 1 and Bengals week 2. I dont like picking teams that everyone is on because Saints, Lions, and Steelers took out over 50% of the pool in week 1.

Buffalo isn’t getting lucky here. At 8.5-9x your money? You have a 0.46% chance out of 100% to win. I’m fairly certain they’ll have quite a bit of money being put on money line. If the whole bettering community put a total of 100k, you’re looking at almost a 1million won. Buffalo isn’t winning it. They’re covering it.

TEAMS WORTH LOOKING AT….

The top favorite was worth taking last week as LAR had it on auto-pilot the whole game…This week, the same scenario is happening again.

BUFF @ MINN…A 16-point favorite, at home vs. a POS team, with a QB starting his 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] game, vs a very good defense, in a stadium that is as loud as a rock concert. Oh yeah, the home team just TIED their arch-rival, and has a lot urine flavor to get out of their mouths, because they are pissed they didn’t beat GB. This is a game the guys with 10-20 picks might go all in on as how can they lose?! Well, they could, but I won’t blame anyone for putting one of your picks on this one.

SF @ KC…Like I said on my POW play, I drank gallons of MahomesAid, and mixed it with bourbon and Mountain Dew for a beverage that makes me feel like I can throw for 10-TD’s in my first two games!!! Against 10-year old…Girls. Ugh. --- KC is a verrrry tough place to play, and I’m not sure if Jimmy Jesus will find his footing on the road at the Thunderdome without a roof. SF did get a feel for the noise at MINN, but if KC’s offense can roll on an average SF D, they could get out to a good sized early lead. The more video there is on Mahomes, the more DC’s will figure out how to defend him, but we’ll see if this is the week they find the defense to slow him down.

INDY @ PHILLY…Wentz is back in the saddle after a lot of time out of it. Rusty? Lots of reps help, but game action is another story. They played well vs. ATL who lost the game more than PHILLY winning it IMHO, but went into the ditch at TB where I think the heat could have played a roll. I feel like PHILLY will come off the loss and play hard for their (New?) leader at QB. INDY will play hard, but 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] game in-a-row for the Colts. Possibly a more of a ‘Dangerous but a maybe’ kind of thing…

NYG @ HOU…I like this one as one of my picks this week as NYG looked lost at DAL, and another trip back to Texas isn’t the answer to finding out what’s wrong with their offense. HOU played crappy, but stayed in the opener at NE, they were in the game at TENN, and fell just short, but I think Watson will finally break out of his malaise and lead them to a win over an NYG team that looks to be in preseason mode still.

NE @ DET…Well, Josh Gordon will get enough practice time to help make a difference in this one, as NE crapped their pants at JAX last week, and will be taking a big step down in the defense they’ll be up against. I don’t bet against NE coming off a loss. It’s a roadie, and there are a few other games to look at, but I guess make a decision on if you think Stafford can make some hay against the NE D and go from there. I know Brady will find a way to make hay vs the DET D.

GB @ WASH…Mr. Rodgers has played great two weeks in-a-row, and now goes on the road vs. a very average WASH team. It’s a roadie, and not the type of roadie I will be on, but I like GB in this spot coming off the tie.

TENN @ JAX…Will there be any hangover from beating up on the forces from the Darkside last week as they sent Lord Bellacheat back home with his lightsaber between his legs. TENN isn’t great competition, but JAX can’t take their foot off the gas if they want to be considered an elite team this year. They know they can make another run deep into the playoffs and need home field to make it happen.

I am in multiple pools with multiple entries. Call me crazy but I am taking the Browns Thursday night with a couple of picks

I try and save stronger teams/games for later in the year...

Great info and nice write up Ace! Thanks everyone! I am using Minnesota for one pick, trying to decide between KC and Jax for the other.

Minny is a big a lock as there will be in the NFL this season. I don't think Buffalo can compete on either side of the ball, I don't see them having a reasonable path to victory. Their only chance is the Vikings commit 6 turnovers and 17 penalties

I wouldn't fuck around, let somebody else have regrets

I love suicide pools. I'm in 10-12 every year. What I look at is the value of a team down the road. Can I take them sometime later in the year. We lost over 30% of the players in almost all the pools when NO lost week one. So sometimes it's not "automatic" to take a big favorite. I took Balt week one and then back to NO week 2. I'm really liking the sneaky pick of Houston this week. Others I like is Chicago, Kansas City and of course MN. Good luck all...

in mine i took cleveland. minnesota gonna be the most popular this week for sure. i like to gamble on these and figure i may be able to steal a week with cleveland. i usually always pick my first few weeks of the season before it starts and had cleveland circled here. primetime, good home crowd, solid defense. its a gamble but i like it and know it wont be a pick many are on. buffalo may not win a game this year so thats not a bad strategy at least to get to the later weeks

i've taken the same 3 teams in all 3 survivor leagues.. Bmore, Rams, Vikings this week.. there should be variance if you are in multiple pools once you make it to week 9 but whether you save "playoff bound" teams for late or not should not matter.. Just got to make it that far and then we all will have to still handicap games come the 2nd half of the season..
