Central Michigan opening line of - 1 1/2 ???.... went to - 7 1/2 ...now - 5 ...

I posted this game on my thread

I don't think I will get anymore than + 7 here ...

Maine at Central Michigan

Central Michigan looking to win their first game vs the Maine Bears .... I'm sure CM will be looking to do just that but this is a Sandwich game for them , after playing at N ILL and at Msu next weekend .... Thinking this may be a tricky spot for them ...so we will look at what the line tells us ....

Maine already won at Western Kentucky this year ( 31 - 28 ) and are OFF A BUY WEEK ....Western Kentucky and Central Michigan have almost the exact same rankings and similar strength of schedules .... When Maine played at WK the line was - 9 1/2 .... Maine won SU as a Dog ....

Line opened Central Michigan - 1 1/2 ...and it's now Central Michigan - 3 ....be patient ...this line rise higher ... Vegas is no dummy when it comes to setting lines ... They got the public to take the bait at CM - 1 1/2 , more gamblers will see value ....just a trap guys ...If I'm wrong ....tip the cap and move on .....

Not that we all don't know this, but all lines are set for a reason, and it isn't for the players to pound the books into the ground. Attract equal action and not expose themselves. So, they may look fishy, but they really aren't.

I like Central Michigan even at -7. They shouldn't let up like WKY did - WKY led 21-0 and figured it was time to coast.

That said, the one that surprises me the most is UNC/Pitt. Pitt laying points on road seems odd.

That CM line opened at - 1 1/2 .... if Vegas wanted equal action ( and I realize they do ) , why wouldn't they have opened the line at - 7 or so ?

Western Kentucky and Central Michigan have almost identical rankings ??? One is 113th the other is 114th ... ranked

Yet Western Kentucky opened at - 9 ...stayed that way ??? ....Central Michigan Opens at - 1 1/2 ... Vegas giving away a gift ...free money ?

You are probably right though bro ...I just think a bit odd , when I gamble ? LOL !! GL this weekend .... Appreciate the input !

My guess - the perception of Western Kentucky prior to playing Maine is better than the perception of Central Michigan now. There was less information about WKY them at that point. They had only played one game and it was against Wisconsin, who dominated them but didn't cover the big number. Central Michigan is now 0-3, and does have similar ratings, so I could possibly understand the -1.5 open, but I think perception alone should get CM as a higher favorite. Although, not sure what the source of your opening line was. 5 Dimes has the lines the earliest on these games in offshore world that I am aware of, and I saw -7 on Tuesday.
