0-3 in week 2. 1-5 overall (20%)

OK, I knew I could beat last week's ultra-badness, and I did! A perfect goose egg. This season already reminds me of last season, I just have to determine if I can stomach losing a LOT before righting the ship and ending the season at around even. Some days I wonder why I even bother to do this. I guess it is the degenerate gambler in me. But that is ultimately why we are all here I suppose. Alright well, gunna take a few more stabs at this, and then if things don't turn around, I may do something I have not done in the 12 years I have been a member here, and that is just give up and quit on the season, and try again next year.

On the other hand, I have been trying to jam all the stats and stuff I use into a spreadsheet have it do calculations and analysis for me, perhaps that "shortcut" is causing me to miss some of the things I used to catch while doing it all manually. Perhaps that is why everything has gone to pot lately. Maybe I should use the sheet for confirmation bias purposes instead of anything else. I will try the old way this week and see what happens.

SEA -1 - The Cowboys look awful, just dreadful. Sure they won, but they beat the Giants. Huge difference between that, their home opener with a national audience, and going to Seattle.

MIA -3 - The phins are 3rd in rushing yards, Oakland is next to last in defending it. Oakland doesn't score a lot of points, and Miami doesn't allow a lot. All things average, this should be around Miami by 9. And they get to play at home. I'll take it.

TB +1.5 - Pittsburgh scores, a lot. To the tune of 29 average points. The problem with that is that Tampa Bay scores an average of 37.5. Also, the Steelers got a bunch of points against a KC defense that SUCKS. Sure, TB sucks at Defense as well, but still not quite as bad as Pittsburgh. It all seems quite transitive when you think about it. Could be a fairly high scoring game, however, it is supposed to be rainy that day. I like TB at home by a FG.
