With the circus we’re witnessing in Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination hearings, Democrats have politicized sexual harassment and violence against women by holding Republican men accountable for allegations of sexual misconduct — without evidence — while ignoring allegations of sexual harassment and violence against women by high-ranking Democratic men within their own caucus.

Democrats, including U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, are vociferously blocking the nomination of Kavanaugh, a family man with an impressive career and sterling reputation, though the allegations made by his accuser date back 36 years and lack any substantiating evidence. This is an allegation they sat on for six weeks, not allowing anyone to investigate, until the last possible moment, as a delaying tactic. For the “Resist” crowd, Kavanaugh is guilty without a chance of being proven innocent, despite the fact that his accuser can’t remember key details related to the alleged incident at a teenage drinking party, in addition to problems with her story. But facts and evidence don’t matter to Democrats. Their mission is to obstruct the Trump administration at any cost, even if that means destroying an innocent man’s life.

Their excuse? They claim they’re “standing for women.”

Laughable, given they didn’t stand up for Bill Clinton’s many accusers, including Juanita Broderick who accused the former president of rape. To the contrary, feminists dismissed the many allegations of sexual misconduct by Hillary Clinton’s predator husband and rallied to his defense. Same with Democratic National Committee Vice Chair Keith Ellison. In recent weeks, Ellison has been accused of sexual mistreatment by two women. Did Warren or House Minority Leader Chuck Schumer or any high-ranking Democrat demand his resignation?

Of course not.

U.S. Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) joined me on Herald Radio yesterday and said this about the Kavanaugh allegations: “I dial back to 1991 and Clarence Thomas and the terrible, terrible assassination, the political assassination they did. He called it a high-tech lynching. Well, this is a similar thing with Kavanaugh with even less substance.”
Democrats will stop at nothing to derail the Trump administration in their quest to take back power in the midterms.

Due process be damned.

The Senate Judiciary Chairman and Dr Christine Blasey Ford are in a standoff after Senator Chuck Grassley rejected key conditions that Brett Kavanaugh's accuser wants if she is to testify about her claim of sexual assault, giving her until 10pm Friday to come to a 'reasonable resolution'.
Grassley said Friday his Republican-run panel would vote on sending Kavanaugh's nomination for Supreme Court Justice to the full Senate by Monday if attorneys for Dr Ford do not come to a decision by Friday night.
Minutes before the 10pm deadline, Ford's lawyer said her client wants another day to consider terms for testifying about her allegations that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her when they were teens.
Attorney Debra Katz calls Friday's deadline for a response 'arbitrary', saying 'its sole purpose is to bully Dr. Ford and deprive her of the ability to make a considered decision that has life-altering implications for her and her family.'

Grassley said the panel will vote to confirm Kavanaugh (left) Monday without an agreement between Ford's (right) lawyers and the Senate Judiciary Committee

Grassley issued no immediate statement as his deadline expired, and the late-night brinkmanship left in question whether Ford would appear before the GOP-run committee and tell lawmakers and a captivated nation about her allegation.
Now a 53-year-old California psychology professor, Ford says an inebriated Kavanaugh pinned her on a bed, muffled her cries and tried removing her clothes when both were teenagers in the 1980s.
Kavanaugh denies the allegations and has said he would testify to clear his name. Ford wants to appear later in the week.
The committee and the attorney are now in a showdown ahead of a scheduled Monday meeting.

Ford met with the FBI for several hours about death threats she has received and wants to consider her response until Saturday.
Chairman Chuck Grassley says if no agreement is reached the panel may vote Monday on Kavanaugh’s nomination.
Grassley turned down Ford's request that only senators, not attorneys, be allowed to ask questions.
He also rejected her proposal that she testify after Kavanaugh, a position lawyers consider advantageous because it gives them a chance to rebut accusations.
'We are unwilling to accommodate your unreasonable demands,' Grassley said.
Grassley sent Ford's attorneys a proposal earlier Friday offering a Wednesday hearing - Ford preferred Thursday - and said, 'It is not fair to him or to his family to allow this situation to continue without a resolution and without an opportunity for him to clear his name.'

In this Sept. 4, 2018, file photo Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh stands with Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley R-Iowa, during his confirmation hearing on Capitol Hill

Grassley said he was rebuffing Ford's proposals that she testify after Kavanaugh and that only senators, not outside counsel, be allowed to ask questions.
The committee's 11 Republicans - all men - have been seeking an outside female attorney to interrogate Ford, mindful of the election-season impression that could be left by men trying to pick apart a woman's assertion of a sexual attack.
He also refused to call additional witnesses. Ford wants an appearance by Mark Judge, a Kavanaugh friend who Ford asserts was at the high school party and in the bedroom where Kavanaugh's assault occurred. Ford eventually escaped.
Grassley said he'd consented to several other Ford demands, including that she be provided security and that Kavanaugh not be in the hearing room when she testifies.
Friday was the latest in a string of tumultuous days for Kavanaugh, whose ascension to the Supreme Court seemed a sure bet until Ford emerged last weekend and provided details of the alleged assault.
Kavanaugh, a District of Columbia Circuit Court of Appeals judge, has repeatedly denied the accusation.

Grassley is a wuss. His deadlines mean nothing. First dealine was 5PM Friday
then it was 10PM Friday and now it's 2:30PM Saturday. At this rate Ford may
testify sometime next year. For christ sake Chuck, grow a pair.

Well said. Being bullied by some "social justice" nutbag who doesn't know whether she's a Jane or Bill one moment to the next.

Embarrassing!
