A woman allegedly assaulted a deli owner for not putting enough meat in her sandwich.
Regina Solomon, 32, was so upset over her sandwich that she went behind the deli counter to berate the owner of Krauszer’s Food Store in Hamden, according to WTNH.
Solomon and an unidentified male then tried to leave the store without paying for the sandwich and a calzone.
When the store owner attempted to stop Solomon and the man, she allegedly grabbed a belt off a rack and hit him repeatedly while her accomplice punched him multiple times, the Connecticut Post reported. The deli owner suffered injuries to his arms and hands, authorities said.
Solomon was charged with third-degree robbery, second-degree assault and sixth-degree larceny, according to the newspaper. She was released after posting a $1,000 bond.
Police are still searching for the unknown man involved in the assault.
