Bama guys - any chance Saban takes it easy on his former assistant this week and only wins by 45 or so? I’m guessing the line will be around 49. Betting against Bama this year seems like a death sentence, but Saban isn’t really known to run it up against the smaller schools. The Colorado State game from a few years ago comes to mind. Wondering if we’ll see a lot of the run game (that’s been “lacking”, by Bama standards anyway) and ball control this week.

You know I am the Alabama guy...in the past, with a game manager at QB, you would be spot on. The problem here is that Tua can score 35 in one quarter. Then Hurts has to come in and work on his passing...and it's hard to keep the 4th strong RB out of the end zone. I would pick a different game, this line is about right, just like the -24 from last week. I'll post on here the next time we all need to blast Bama.

yeah, when Tua left the game last week, I became nervous. I'm not sure Bama scored again when Hurts came in costing the cover. It's hard to bet on Bama now on big spreads. Hurts just isn't the same.

Hurts will not risk injury if he comes in to mop up. He will transfer next season if he remains 2nd string, just like everyone else seems to be doing these days. Alabama has perhaps two medium tough game left on their schedule. Back to back at LSU and then home to Miss. State. Saban will risk nothing. Pass on this game.

No doubt.. just wasn’t sure if you thought Saban would let it get to that point.

BTW run game was tongue in check as Bama is 40 something in rushing O this year so far.. no doubt they’ll be towards the top by the end.

I totally got what you were saying...I guess I was too cryptic. I was stating we just don't know which team will shoot out in the 1st quarter. There are just too many variables. I think you could flip a coin and half the time they cover and half the time they don't...thus, the please stay away comment.

I got ya on the running game too, oline injury a week prior to the season starting is still showing its ugly head...they will be great, not just good, by season's end.

Saban's Alabama teams have historically not covered these types of games. I've won playing against them the past several years. Fresno St, Colorado St, etc..

Arkansas St was in the same situation this year and Bama smoked them laying 37.5. I had Ark St.

This team is so deep and talented, that I have thrown all of that stuff out the window. Still, its 49 freaking points.

In the past I would have no problem taking those points. This year, its just a pass. The problem is that the backup is a former starter, and he wants to play too. But gun to head I would take the points and pray that Saban shows some mercy for a former asst.
