Remind us why Nike is a great company that needs to be cheered? Arent they literally a business that abuses and oppresses minorities who make some of their items?

It' s hilarious how, any time a story comes out that a lotta nitwits around don't agree with, they question the source and/or the story itself-but, of course, they lap up all the "deep state" bullshit like a hungry dog.

Tell me why this is a good thing?

Perhaps you explain to me how separating children from their parents at the border-even parents are legally seeking asylum-is a good thing, as opposed to sweating about increased profits for a sneaker company?

Of course not. You’re telling me they’ve contacted every single Nike retailer on the planet and received accurate data in two weeks to determine “Yes, these $6B in new sales would not have happened had it not been for the ad!” Horseshit.

And finch, if you seriously believe the stock price of a company with a market cap the size of Nike’s would be influenced by an ad like that...as if that’s the magic bullet investors have been waiting for all along...why, I’d suggest you’re a fucking regarded pauper with zero understanding of how markets function. Oh, wait...that’s precisely what you are.

They didn't really champion his cause at all though.

Basically just pimped him out to sell a few sneakers. Not like he is kneeling in the commercial or they got pictures of protests in it.

Usually when you break the law, you get separated from your kids.

Contrary to President Donald Trump’s claim that Nike would get “killed” by its decision to sign an endorsement deal with former NFL player Colin Kaepernick, the sportswear giant appears to be thriving. As CBS News reported Friday, Nike’s market value has surged by nearly $6 billion since the company unveiled Kaepernick ― who sparked controversy as the instigator of protests by NFL players against racism and police brutality ― as the star of a provocative ad campaign.

Trump, who has harshly criticized Kaepernick and other athletes for taking a knee during the playing of the national anthem as a gesture of protest, lambasted the ad campaign as sending a “terrible message“Just like the NFL, whose ratings have gone WAY DOWN, Nike is getting absolutely killed with anger and boycotts,” the president tweeted in the days after the ad’s launch. Nike’s share prices were quick to rebound from that initial dip, however, and in recent weeks have been performing near an “an all-time high,” CBS said. The company has sold out 61 percent more merchandise since releasing its Kaepernick ad, Reuters reported last week. Nike also discounted fewer products in the 10-day period after the ad compared to the 10-day period before its release.“[Nike’s] new ‘Just Do It’ ad campaign with Colin Kaepernick was a stroke of genius,” said Camilo Lyon, an analyst with financial services company Canaccord Genuity, according to Reuters. “This premeditated move was another subtle but significant sign of Nike’s strength and confidence in its position in the marketplace.”

In all, Nike has given $424,000 to the GOP compared to $122,000 to Democrats. The findings follow a recent trend showing Nike has donated more to Republicans than Democrats in every election cycle since 2010

[h=2]Following the money[/h]According to the report, nearly half of all donated funds from Nike employees has come from co-founder Phil Knight and his family.
The Knight family has also given $1.5 million to republican Knute Buehler in his race for Oregon governor against incumbent democrat Kate Brown. The contribution is the largest individual donation to an Oregon candidate since the state started electronically tracking such dealings in 2006.

Usually when you break the law, you get separated from your kids.

Learn how to read, you brain dead putz, I specifically mentioned "...even parents who are legally seeking asylum..." and, even for those who WEREN'T here legally, I guess it slipped your attention that the courts ruled that they had to be reunited with their parents, which, months later, scumbag ICE hasn't fully complied with. Would you care to revise your bullshit statement, Genius?

Dafinich you're for open borders, who are you kidding?

Legal asylum was a small part of that ordeal. It was mostly border crossers.
