Nah, I can't stand watching a baseball game (find it extremely boring). I had a client with some of the best seats in the house that literally would beg me to take some tickets for a game (including some World Series tickets). I turned him down. And no, I wasn't going to be classless and take them, then scalp them (would also be pretty stupid to do that with him sitting next to me and my guest).

Will follow the games, but can't sit and watch it exclusively. You know a fast playoff game will be three hours. Usually just check the score periodically or will have it on TV with the sound off listening to music while I do stuff around the house.

No. But baseball played at this level is the best sport to watch.
There is nothing like it.

I still try to follow it some. I know it's hard with these 3+ hour ballgames. I know what you mean tho. The baseball regular season is becoming too NBA like.

I love the strategy behind every pitch. I bitch when a MLB pitcher starts behind every batter, because that's so incredibly stupid and statistics bear that out. I moan when a pitcher throws a strike with an 0-2 count, or throws a ball so far out of the zone there's zero temptation to swing at it. Just horrible execution and I expected more from kids playing baseball.

So I love the game, it just don't love me. Save for May of 2015 into June, the best run of my life in anything. Even better than college basketball in March of 2014.

I think the 162 game schedule and playing every day messes with my insight and intuition

What happened during May/June in 2015, Willie? Did you hit a bunch of winners?

Won 25K, collected 19k in June and left the balance

Two 5k checks, maybe spread out over 30 days or so (I think I was allowed one free 5k check per month)

And 9k in transfers with forum members, although I was stuck for $ 200 by "the antfather?" (something like that). Turns out he was a scam artist

Several months later 5dimes stopped accepting credit card deposits from me, and I haven't used them since

PS: I had quadruple bypass surgery on 4/3/2015, so I wasn't exactly at full speed just yet, maybe that helped :)

I enjoy the LLWS more, always have...

I too only watch baseball in October on, though, and I played as a kid all the way through college...

You know its October baseball when a 2 & 1 count to the leadoff batter feels like a rally..

It's the first and only sport I played as a kid....My dad loved it and we had only black and white tv...The Saturday game of the week was so special as well as my many trips with dad to Memorial stadium to watch the birds... We also went to see the At that time Washington Senators and once to see the Phillies... It was the good old days and the players all seemed like heros.... From knocking a baseball in old potato field to playing catch with anyone that had a glove, I've alway loved it. Mantle, Mays, Kofax Drysdale, Brooks Robinson, a etc etc. Plus I even met Al Kaline in person. What a good guy and a great sport. The big Red machine as well as the great NY Yankee teams were something very special in a different age..
