Personally see this being ugly. The Eagle may indeed rearrange his face. Only advantages I see the Irishman having here is standup striking and reach. Both good chins and won’t quit attitudes. If the Eagle gets on top this thing is OVER. Khabib by TKO R2

I would just take whoever the dog is. In this case Conor. I don't think Khabibs style of wrestling is the best to beat Conor. GSP would be perfect. Set up Conor, duck under after Conor Commits to a punch. Seems Khabib goes more for the waist I believe. Uses the pressure to get a hold of you. Not set up well with striking against someone who can strike and has decent take down defense I do believe Conor MUST win in the first two rounds. Khabibs pressure and Conors lack of cardio will make it tough for him to hurt Khabib from the 3rd on

I don't see why anyone would take McGreggor in this fight and I think it ends within 1-3.

McGreggor's only shot to win this fight is a clean KO in 1 or 2. Could it happen? Sure but Khabib's striking D is legit. He has a chin. Could he get knocked out? Of course he could but look at it like this...If they fought 10 times, do you think McGreggor could win 5 of those 10 fights? If you think he could, then by all means, take McGreggor. I don't think he can. I think Khabib would beat him 8 times out of 10.

Once Khabib gets him on the ground each round, the fight is over. The energy needed by McGreggor to get off the mat will kill him.

Khabib ITD easy.

Khabib is best grappler in the UFC today and perhaps top 10 of all time. How is his style of grappling not good to beat McGreggor?

When he fights solid comp, then will see how good he is. Maia is the ground king in my opinion

Because his striking is average and his style needs striking setups against certain guys. It is usually not just one style anymore. Romero and Cormier are just as good if not better but they don't just go in and take you down like it is nothing unless it is a bum. Not saying he can't win. Look at Iaquinta. Did he just take im down and end it? No. You need to open up your opponent to commit to striking then take them down. Not Khabibs style. I guess my point is 50/50 fight take the dog. Usually I give the advantage to the grappler. Here. Ehhh

BTW I am not betting it

This isn't a 50/50 fight or Khabib wouldn't be -160.

He's not a striker. His style doesn't need anything other than for his opponent to get in the ring so he can maul them to submission. I can't even remember a fight in which Khabib lost a single round.

Romero is as good as Khabib? Stop. I like Romero but he isn't Khabib.

Maia is no ground king. If you wanna call his BJJ one of the best ever in the UFC, fine, but he’s no grappler or wrestler at all. In fact, he’s been manhandled by wrestlers in 3 straight fights, and got beat by Weidman, another true wrestler. Oh, and Jake Shields, another wrestler. He has great submissions, but he cannot grind with a true grinder...Go on and bring up his age, I went further back than current...

I like Maia but you can't put Maia and Khabib in the same sentence.

Not trying to know Maia, I like the guy as well, more out of the ufc than in, but he’s no grinder, and I’ll take a grinder all day...

Wrestlers/grinders with decent general striking are here to take over. It’s just in their blood...

Thoughts on Volkov and Lewis?

I know this is obvious in retrospect but when he jumped the cage to brawl, I thought there was a legit chance he would get DQ'd. Was livid.

What an idiot, wow. The athletic commission is gonna jam him up forever.

That said, I find it amusing all the Connor fanboys are now taking the moral high ground now after the shit he pulled in Brooklyn.

I really thought they could've taken the belt from him for that. I know once the bell rings that is the result but never seen anything like that.

Josh Thomson said Khabib either wants GSP or is retiring (dunno how true that is) so maybe he doesn't give a fuck and didn't plan on fighting anytime soon either way.
