lol.. when I was in college I had a black roommatefor a year.. at FSU.. 1 of his buddies (black kid) came over to the houseevery now and then. He went to FAMU(black college).. and I heard this kid talk he literally could not speak English-0-.. my roommate had to make calls for him to help this kid function in society... lol... "why are you enabling this guy" I said to him a few times.. he just shook his head.. "I'm just trying to help him transition i guess?"

I heard this kid speak many times and I'm telling ya that muther Effer was UNintelligable... lol

i have had people tell me that when athletes go to FSU for recruiting trips, they usually hang out with FAMU students

I always laugh when I watch Jameis Winston talk. Not necessarily "ghetto" just kind of stereotypical. I thought he was going to end up being a great player. Maybe he still will. In college he was accurate, clutch and just won. Seemed smart at least in football terms. But listening to him talk is painful.

Still waiting for someone to knock the "ghetto" out of Mike Perry. God what a brain dead individual

I like the ghetto people who mix in big words into the ghetto.
Mike Tyson is the king of this

why knight?

(trying to sound politically correct here)

When on FSU recruiting trips, the recruits would feel more comfortable hanging out with students that have "more in common" with the recruit. More of those students attend FAMU than FSU

I think many NBA players do this.

Players will speak differently off camera then on.

Then again, i will speak differently talking to friends then I am when at work

Many NBA players that turned "ghetto" after the got to the NBA. Growing up going to prep schools. Make the NBA and then go full blown with tattoos, change the way they talk. Talked normal in college interviews or HS all American games. Now they only know ghetto slang. So fake.

Jason Kidd?

I followed him in high school and college. He spoke like a normal dude.

I am referring to an individual who could not speak and now speaks normal. Doing media work and talking mainstream is not my point. Jive talk with your buddies, but then consumer talk with the cameras is not the point.

Mike Perry is comical as fuck, imo. Would be interesting to see Mike Perry doing announcer work 30 years from now and he's talking like a normal human being.

I heard some stories that he was the dumbest guy in college basketball and basically needed a LR on his shoes.
