A Democrat intern has been arrested after sharing the private contact information of at least one Republican senator during last week's Brett Kavanaugh hearing.
Jackson Cosko, 27, from Washington, has been hit with seven charges including witness tampering, identity theft and second-degree burglary.
Cosko had worked for several prominent Democrats and was an unpaid intern for Sheila Jackson Lee, of Texas, when the alleged crime took place.
Lee's office told Fox News that Cosko had only worked there for a couple of months, and has now been sacked.
In the past he worked for Dianne Feinstein, the ranking Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, which Kavanaugh testified in front of.
Other internships including with Maggie Hassan, of New Hampshire, and former Senator Barbara Boxer, of California.

In total, Cosko is charged with making public restricted personal information, witness tampering, threats in interstate communication, unauthorized access of a government computer, identity theft, second-degree burglary and unlawful entry.
But police on Capitol Hill say their probe is ongoing and further charges are possible.
Personal information of Lindsey Graham, Mike Lee and Orrin Hatch was posted to their Wikipedia pages as Kavanaugh spoke in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee last week.
In the case of Graham a phone number was listed for him on the Wikipedia page which was in fact the Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League.

Cosko was working for Democrat Sheila Jackson Lee (center) at the time of the alleged crime, and had previously worked for Dianne Feinstein (left)

While it is not clear if Cosko is being accused of posting all of their details online, the charges are though to be linked to at least one of them.
All three are members of the committee and have said they believe Kavanaugh is innocent of sex assault claims brought by Christine Blasey Ford.
Sources told Fox that police are looking into the possibility that two other senators were also targeted.
It comes amid efforts by left-wing protesters to target Republican politicians in their personal lives.
Ted Cruz was hounded by sexual assault survivors as he ate dinner with wife Heidi in Fiola in Washington DC over his support for Kavanaugh's nomination.
The senator was forced to hide in the kitchen until police arrived to remove the demonstrators, after which he returned to finish his meal.
Since then, owner Fabio Trabocchi has revealed his staff have faced death threats and he has been forced to hire security guards.

Accused doxxer of GOP senators allegedly threatened to publish their children’s health information

Chaffetz on GOP doxxing: There is something more here

A Democratic congressional aide accused of publishing the private information of at least three Republican lawmakers allegedly threatened to leak senators’ children's health information if a witness told anyone about his activities.
Jackson Cosko, who recently worked for Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, was arrested for allegedly posting the personal information (or "doxxing") of a number of senators including Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., Mike Lee, R-Utah, and Orrin Hatch, R-Utah on Wikipedia -- with information such as their home addresses and phone numbers. Graham, Lee and Hatch's information was published on Thursday.
According to a sworn statement by Capitol Police Captain Jason Bell, a witness Tuesday saw Cosko at a computer in a senator’s office, where he used to work, a day after two other unnamed senators' information had been put on Wikipedia. Cosko worked for other Democratic senators including Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., Sen. Maggie Hassan, D-N.H., and former Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif. While earlier reports identified Cosko as an intern for Jackson Lee, his lawyer said that he was working as a fellow in her office, paid by an outside institution.
Sources familiar with the case tell Fox News Cosko was in Sen. Hassan's office, where he was caught using a login he was not authorized to use. Cosko earlier was let go by Senator Hassan's office. A spokesman for Hassan says she "strongly denounces the alleged actions.”
According to Bell's statement, Cosko is alleged to have been confronted by the staffer and then walked out. Hours later the witness received an email from "livefreeorpwn@gmail.com" saying: “If you tell anyone I will leak it all. Emails signal conversations gmails. Senators children’s health information and socials.”
“Socials” apparently referred to social security numbers, while Signal is a secure messaging application. Bell said that there was probably cause to believe that Cosko published the information of senators, and then made threatening statements directed to the unnamed witness “with the intent to hinder, delay, or prevent” the witness from reporting it to authorities.
Cosko's defense attorney, Brian Stolarz, told Fox News his client acted alone.
"We all need to take a deep breath," said Stolarz. "In this political climate everyone wants to jump to conclusions. We need to put the conspiracy theories aside and focus on the allegations. Jackson Cosko is innocent until proven guilty, and we intend to challenge the charges."
COPS PROBE DOXXING OF GOP SENATORS, AS LEFT-WING ESCALATES CONFRONTATIONAL TACTICS
Cosko is charged with publishing restricted personal information, threats in interstate communication, unauthorized access of a government computer, identity theft, witness tampering, second degree burglary, and unlawful entry. The complaint says that five senators were doxxed. Fox News learned Wednesday that Capitol Hill police were investigating additional doxxing incidents, including one involving Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky.
While it was not clear what the motivation was behind the posting of personal information, Graham, Lee and Hatch have been outspoken defenders of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh amid sexual assault allegations against him. The doxxing began on Thursday, and came moments after Graham had scorched Senate Democrats in a fiery speech for what he called “an unethical sham” in their treatment of Kavanaugh.
Cosko was dressed in shorts, a t-shirt and tennis shoes and looked uneasy as Magistrate Judge Deborah Robinson detailed the seven charges against him, which carry the possibility of more than 20 years in prison.
