NFL coach to fired?? Why take the snap from the shotgun from the 4"line ?? How many times has Brady taken the snap from the 1 ft line and sneaked over for the TD ?? Just a horrible call, and gave all the momentum to Dallas at the half, How did this guy ever get a head coaching job in the first place ?? Absolutely worse rhan Hue Jackson !

HOU totally dominated this game and should have won by 14 plus points but yet they got lucky to win because the play calling was so bad in the red zone.........

I can't believe he gave Blue a carry on every set of downs. The Texans only had two plays to make a first down on every series of downs

And his play calling inside the 5 was the worst ever

5 possessions inside the 5, 3 twenty yard FG's and they were stuffed once and one TD

He is definitely one of the worst. Admittedly, I'm amazed at some of the most basic of decisions that are made by coaches that are just asinine. We had OT gambles with Indy and another coach (the name escapes me right now) that pretty much guaranteed a loss instead of taking a tie. Then we have stuff like the Eagles today going for 2, when an extra point puts them exactly 7 pts behind (and I think there was 6 minutes to go in the game). WTF is that? It's like they don't understand basic math.

The Texannes gave O'Brien a contract extension after last year. He's not going anywhere. If anything, he needs a lifetime contract with the team. He's a perfect fit for their culture, lol.

Sometimes an owner just plain likes a coach, the coach sucks up, the owner's wife likes the coach, or there is some kind of bond that extends beyond good reason.

The same owner who fired others quickly hangs on to a friend way way too long.

O'Brien needs to go, Texas fans are hollering, but so are Cowboy & Browns fans, among others. Raider fans are wondering about Gruden but NO WAY he is pushed out, for years. Rams fans in SL realized Fisher was a dinosaur, running a middle school offense (Gurley even said it aloud).

We shall see.

I have no idea how the Dallas coach keeps his job as the owner is so adamant about winning and the Cowboy culture and yet he accepts excuses and being average year-after-year. Given this year the front office screwed it up by not getting any receivers, but who can point to one advantage that having Garrett on the sidelines or in the organization provides. They should have a first rate coach...instead that a guy in the role that is the same as his football career... a back-up.

As a Texans fan...he needs to go if we want to win big... His play calling in close games are mediocre at best...and it's been proven multiple times. Last year (when Watson was on fire) we lost the leads in last minute to both a good Seahawks and the great Pat's.... I stopped believing in him since.

Welcome to the life of a Texan fan, Willie. Run on first and second down with mediocre to below average backs and pass on third and long. Extremely predictable and extremely frustrating to watch every QB we’ve had have to play every set of downs from behind. And on top of everything, he is both our head coach AND our offensive coordinator. Figure that one out. The only reason this doesn’t look as bad as it should is because Watson has enough natural talent/skill to scramble or hit someone else with a pass when O’Brian calls a poor play so it gives us another chance.

It would be a wet dream to wake up to him getting fired, we’ve been waiting for years. Front office/McNair must really like him.

Because he is the perfect coach for Jerry. He only wants a yes man who will give in to letting him run the team & make the personnel decisions so the credit for building the team goes to him. Notice when they won under Jimmy, they did not get along because he is a yes man to nobody. Bill is not a yes man either which is why he bailed. Switzer only won because he had Jimmy's guys & hell anyone probably would have won with that team.

Sadly I don't see Dallas contending for another championship until either Jerry sells (which I doubt will ever happen) or he finally caves and brings in a coach and lets him do things his way on all fronts.

Perfect Coach for the Houston Texans, IMO

Mike Tomlin, if he ever gets the boot from Pittsburgh.

I've called Jackson the worst for years.

I may have to change that.

I think Jones has who he wants, red head is a perfect puppet! Obedient, doesn't complain, let's JJ call the shots :)

Garrett is not getting a second HC job

Wow, I totally agree with everything you said
