Panthers Fans Rip Eric Reid After He Kneels During National Anthem

[FONT=&quot]I mean, what did fans really expect? Eric Reid is known as a terrific NFL safety. His views on the league's NFL anthem policy are also understood, with the former teammate of Colin Kaepernick choosing to kneel in what he and many others deem a patriotic display.

[FONT=&quot]On Sunday, Reid chose to kneel again prior to the Panthers home game against the New York Giants. As if this was anything new, some Panthers fans chose to criticize Reid for continuing his display in Carolina.

An NFL football player kneeling in protest of the National Anthem to bring attention to a cure for cancer doesn't make any logical sense. It's a bad analogy.

And no, the "who" isn't why people are angry. If a white player were to do the same, the fans would react exactly the same. This is all about the action.

And no, it's not ignorant to think this protest is about the flag and those that serve. That's exactly how many people feel.

Just out of curiosity you seem to make the point it about having served in the military or having a family member serve in the military.......using that same logic.....those that served in Vietnam and came back and protested the war and burned the flag......it must have been ok because they served in the military.

I would think that most veterans feel that they serve......so that people have the right to free speech.....irrespective of if they agree with their opinions.

I personally chose to stand, remove my hat and not talk during the national anthem. About half of the crowd at games does none of those things. So is talking to your friend or wife during the national anthem any worse?

I just went to a Patriots game and observed those around me and had the exact opposite observations.
I didn't see a hat on, a person talking with their friends, or anything like that. It really was total concentration on the singer.

I was surprised actually, but I think if anything these protests have actually reminded people how important the flag and our anthem is.
