President Trump said Tuesday that FOX is lucky to have his former communications director Hope Hicks at the helm of its public relations division.
The 29-year-old had been considering her employment options since she resigned from the White House in February. And rumors were afoot all summer that she could come back to work for Trump in some other capacity - especially after she made an August campaign trip with him.
But her new position as chief communications officer for FOX was announced on Monday, marking the end of an era.
'She's the greatest. I love it,' he told DailyMail.com. 'I'm very happy for FOX, because Hope is a winner. I'm very proud of Hope.'

Hope Hicks has landed her next act and she's going Hollywood - the former White House communications director will be the chief communications officer of FOX, the new company being built out of the remains of Rupert Murdoch's empire, it was announced Monday.
Hicks will be based in Los Angeles - far from where she made her name on the East Coast, first in Donald Trump's presidential campaign in New York and then in his White House as one its most public faces.
FOX will consist of the remaining assets of Murdoch's company - such as Fox News, Fox Sports, and the broadcast television network - left out of the sale of most of 21st Century Fox to Disney for $71.3 billion.

The sale will be finalized next year.
Hicks will be top PR honcho at the rebuilt FOX and her duties include oversight of the communications shop for the company that owns the cable news channel her former boss loves to watch.
Her title is executive vice president and chief communications officer for Fox. She will report to Viet Dinh, Fox's chief legal and policy officer.
Bu she will work closely with Lachlan Murdoch, the eldest son of Rupert Murdoch, The New York Times reported.
Lachlan Murdoch will be chair and chief executive of the reconstituted FOX.
Her job is the latest wave in the ebb-and-flow between Murdoch's holdings and the Trump White House.

After Hicks left the Trump administration, her communications job was filled by Bill Shine, a former executive at Fox News who became White House deputy chief of staff and communications chief.
Shine indicated to DailyMail.com on Tuesday that he thinks Hicks is a great fit for his old network. 'Hope is great,' he said enthusiastically after the president's remarks.
Another former Fox News host, Heather Nauert, is spokesperson at the State Department. And Trump's National Security Adviser John Bolton is a former Fox News contributor.
Trump is a rabid consumer of Fox News and regularly watches 'Fox & Friends' in the morning. Additionally, he is friends with Fox News host Sean Hannity.
It's also one of the few news outlets he doesn't call 'fake news.'
White House press secretary Sarah Sanders tweeted her congratulations to Hicks.
'FOX won’t find anyone smarter or more talented than Hope Hicks. So happy for my friend. They are beyond lucky to have you and the East Coast misses you already,' she wrote on Monday.
Stephanie Grisham, the communications director for the first lady, retweeted Sanders tweet with good thoughts of her own.
'Could not agree more. Congratulations dear friend - they really are lucky to have you! Well done FOX,' she wrote.
Hicks left the White House in March after working for Trump throughout his presidential campaign. Previously she had been director of communications for the Trump Organization.

Hope Hicks dated former White House staff secretary Rob Porter, standing to her right, during her time in the White House

Hicks, a native of Greenwich, Conn., returned to New York City after her time in the nation's capitol and was taking meetings throughout town as she contemplated her next move.
She had zero political experience when Trump told her she would be the press secretary of his 2016 presidential bid.
What followed was a rapid rise to the top for the aide, who rarely spoke to the media despite her job title.
But staff and journalists alike appreciated her ability to read Trump's move and interpret his wishes and words.
Her tenure in the White House was marked by scrutiny of her personal life and accumulated in her testimony before Congress.
Hicks dated then-White House staff secretary Rob Porter, whom DailyMail.com revealed had allegedly beat two of his ex-wives.

The first lady's communications director also wished Hicks well

The revelations ultimately ended with losing his White House gig. He and Hicks broke up.
A month before she left the White House, in February 2018, Hicks gave nine hours of closed-door testimony to the House Intelligence Committee where she acknowledged that she sometimes had to tell 'white lies' in her work.
However, she refused to answer any questions about her tenure in the White House.

Another Trump acolyte who I love.

I love the people Trump put around him. All other Presidents surround themselves with political hacks who have little understanding of or accountability to the "forgotten man". Trump eschewed the political class and brought on smart people who wanted to challenge the way things were done in Washington.

This is near the top as onre of the reasons I love the man.

Good luck, Hope.
