    Paul Hornung was his running mate. Taylor used to get hit--when it was real football--and say to the guy, "Is that all you have?" "Is that the hardest you can hit?" Piss everybody off. Him and Jim Brown went for the rushing title each year. Loved No. 31. He was a classic.

    Saw a clip last night with Jerry Kramer who recounted a team film session when Taylor ran around end, got in the clear and then ran toward the safety instead of away from him. Lombardi saw it and questioned Taylor about the move. "Got to sting 'em Coach, got to sting 'em," Taylor said.

    thanks for the memories jim. as a kid in late 50s early sixties,the only football on tv was cleveland browns and i loved it when packers,bears,lions, ny giants, played us. jim brown,jim taylor..we had a Kicker with part of his foot missing , LOU THE TOE GROZA..
