From Houston here. Tread lightly on the ostrich. He killed me last week on my non posted play but I can't see it continuing. That game is ugly, I'm staying far away from that one.

It will be 88 degrees, probably 25 degrees hotter than Michigan.

The Lions will falter in the heat (electrolyte balance cannot be established in a few days down there with water hydration, sports drinks and IV's). Only a few will visibly cramp up in 2nd half, but the others will be 1/2 step slower, no pain, just cannot do it. Not out of shape, just too big of a body fluid problem.

Miami players body physiology is completely adjusted, being down there for months.

That is exactly what happened to the Bears last week, and their D is superior to the Lions.

So WRs are suddenly open and Osweiler could hit them and they ran wild. And the Bears front 7 could not get to him.
When he has time, Osweiller is not that bad!

This is the time of year it matters, getting cold in the north but still high 80's or even 90 in Miami. Might have a shower, that would help Lions, actually. Check game time to see what is going on, if there are no clouds and it gets to 90 degrees, then it is even more of an advantage for Miami.

Take Miami today, or pass.

Not sure why Detroit should be laying 3 points on the road against an improved Miami team. Osweiler is an improvement on Tanneyhill. Miami +10 in a teaser looks real solid and I wouldn't be surprised if Miami wins the game.

Hey it really mattes... I am deciding to either go small, regular, of BIG on Miami.
HATE Osweiller but if he can stand there with his feet right, he is OK, and the fluid balance problem is for real for visitors this time of year.
If Osweiller was in Detroit today, I would LOAD UP on the Lions, what, minus 9 or so? I would. Or last week in Chicago...

Da Bears were off a bye and were with out a doubt affected by heat and humidity, gassed second half. Miami in first place lean phins

Wrong.
It still matters, it has nothing to do with having a week off.
Read a few books about body fluids, electrolyte balance, etc, (I have) and then get back to me.

Ha I am not thrilled about backing Osweiller, if I go with Miami it will be small or regular. But this is a stark reality. Ask an MD that bets NFL (I know one, really).
ALSO remember Miami scored 14-3 in 4th quarter earlier this year to cover at home vs Oakland, same thing, though Tannehill was QB, and of course Oakland is ca ca.

88 degrees with 55% humidity. As long as they aren't totally unprepared for the heat like the Bears were it shouldn't be a big deal.

It is not about "preparation".
It is human physiology.
You CANNOT adjust your body electrolytes by hydrating water, drinking sports drinks, even taking D5LR IV's for a few days. It takes the body much more time. Dolphins have been down there for months, all are adjusted.
The thing is a few quick showers are possible, that might help Lions a bit.
ALSO, Lions are not exactly an NFL juggernaut, their overall team efficiency is in the bottom 5 in the NFL, Miami is way ahead. Again, Osweiller is a complete disaster when bothered, but I see him standing there in the 2nd half and taking aim, unmolested.
I am not saying Miami is a great bet but I am going with them and these fluid dynamic points I make are facts.

Miami is 5-6 ats at home in the month of September and 6-6 ats at home in the month October since 2011. November they are 7-4 ats. Detroit is coming from temperature's around 50 degrees.

The electrolyte thing has to do with where the visitor comes from, so if Carolina or Houston (examples) visit it is not as big of an adjustment fluid wise. IMO Detroit qualifies in this spot. The thing is they practice in a dome I think, that makes them sweat in 70 degree weather, that is why I am going regular wager, not BIG.

I have made a lot of wagers in the past on 2H games in Miami, even TB and Jax, depending on the temeperature (& sun & humidity) and what team is visiting, from "where"...

(again, when the Cardinals first moved to Phoenix in mid 80's, they played outdoors early in the season, NFL was too stupid to realize... Cards would be losing by 17 or so at the half and win by 17.... total joke but look it up if you wish, players on other teams formally objected after awhile)

Lions have done a good job of playing keep away and keeping their D off the field. Should have had a TD there but stupid ass penalties and Golden Tate drop killed the drive.
