The Oakland Raiders will trade wide receiver Amari Cooper to the Dallas Cowboys, a source told ESPN's Josina Anderson on Monday.

The Raiders will receive a first-round draft pick in exchange, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Oakland will now have three first-round picks in 2019 after also getting the Chicago Bears' selection in last month's Khalil Mack trade.

Cooper, 24, has just 22 catches for 280 yards and one touchdown in his first six games this season and is coming off a disappointing 2017 campaign, when he had 48 receptions for 680 yards and seven touchdowns in 14 games.

But Cooper, the fourth overall pick in the 2015 draft, was a Pro Bowler in each of his first two seasons with the Raiders, eclipsing 1,000 receiving yards both years.

Cooper is in the NFL's concussion protocol after suffering the injury last week in Oakland's loss to Seattle in London.

This is not the first time that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has dealt for a receiver before the league's trade deadline. In 2008, Dallas traded first-, third-, sixth- and seventh-round picks to the Detroit Lions for wide receiver Roy Williams in a move that did not work out.

But the 3-4 Cowboys have been so lacking at wide receiver this season that they were willing to give up their top pick in next year's draft to acquire Cooper. Dallas ranks 29th in the league with an average of 202.4 receiving yards per game.

Dallas got fleeced giving up a 1st round pick for Cooper. Very few players are worth giving up a 1st round pick for & he is not one of them.

Raiders are definitely crushing it with these trades. For once an NFL team just realized "We fucking suck, we know we suck, let's trade current good players and build for the future."

Gotta give Gruden props for that.

Sure they will probably blow the picks, but process is correct.

Well Cooks kind of set the market .
About the same age and contract .
Was trade for a 1st twice .
Is copper worthy of what the saints and pats traded coins for ?

Also Dallas first round pick has a chance to be a lot higher then the saints and pats 1st

But I would think a player would need to be good enough to be in Justin Cruise starting fantasy lineup to be worthy of a 1st.

Hes not even on JCs good fantasy team

Yeah, so by that token Dallas paid a lot more. And in the Pats/Rams cases, they considered themselves to be 1 player away and were "going for it"

Probably be tough to make that case for Dallas. Should be interesting though. Best WR Dak has ever played w/ considering Dez had been washed for a few years (since foot injury I'd say)

Maybe Cooper gets it going.

I can't say that they got the better end of the deal giving up a potential hall of famer like Mack. I agree that they made out like bandits on this one. But Dallas has been a stupid organization since they got rid of Jimmy Johnson.

They weren't a good defense with him. He's already 27, you gotta pay him a huge contract.

His best years are likely gonna be wasted on your team. Get 2 1sts from the Bears and maybe they won't be very good and they will be high picks.

What's Mack make them in '18 and '19? A 7 win team instead of a 5 win team? That's a tough thing for a FO to admit so I give them some credit.

To be fair if the Cowboys were just going to draft a WR with their 1st round pick it's doubtful they'd get anyone as good as Cooper(a guy who has already been to 2 ProBowls and is still only 24 years old).

Cooper has basically sucked on an offense that was top echelon a couple of years back. I hardly think he's going to start putting up some awesome numbers with Dak. Don't know too many coaches that would take Dak over Carr.
