Guys how much can you put down in Vegas on the major sports (nfl/nba/mlb) before you draw attention? Is there a limit?

Define noticed? 10-15k can get a line moved at any certain shop. IRS, no biggy unless you aren’t a legal citizen

as little as $5,000 will get you some notice. Because in a lot of cases the cashier will need to get approval to take that wager.
they will also want you to have a players card.
It also depends on what time of the day we are talking about.

Had a friend that wanted to get down on a game late in the night for a Football game ( preseason ) that started the next day.
They would only take $2500

Guess it's like anything or offshore, overnight lines are limited

Best thing to do if your plan is making some nice amount of wagers is talk to the head guy and let him know your plan.
if they feel you are not apart of a group, they will let you bet

Ceasers is probably the highest,,

Limits depend on the sport. The Stations casinos limit on the NBA is 5k on sides, 1k on totals, 2k on money lines. On the NFL 20k on sides, 3k on totals and 10k on money lines. If you bet with chips or winning tickets there won't be any problem. You will draw some attention if you bet cash (10k in cash in 24 hours and they will need to see some ID). Also they don't like you to do more than 1 limit bet. Even after they move the line some big bettors will ask if it is okay to hit the game again. Most will bet it at another place. You can bet thousands per day with winning tickets and the only difference between you and a $10 bettor is you get more drink tickets.

So 20k on an NFL side will move the line? What about when 80% of action is on a side. It seems to only move a point and half max from opening line. How could 20k make a line move? Surely 80% on a side is a lot more than 20k.

Usually 5k on NFL is about the highest you can bet before you need approval, probably half that on totals and other major sports

Also, if you make a big bet and move the line, why would the bettor ask to hit the game again? The line would have moved small in the opposite direction for making a bet on same side. He would be getting a worse lne.

Your biggest allowed limits in no particular order are Caesar's Mirage, MGM, Westgate, Wynn 15-25K bets won't get you much attention on a Saturday/Sunday. Once you get to 50K on up, they will get attention. Of course it's common now for them to ask for a players card to get your bet into the system. When it comes time to cash out, they want to see that card again to verify it was you that made the bet. Typically they don't ask for identification but on some occasions depending on the bet size they do. Be friendly, act as if it's not a big deal and avoid idle chit chat. Give them the rotation number, the team, the amount you want to bet and be sure to put your tickets in a safe spot. Also take a picture of your ticket so you have proof they were yours. In case something does happen, you have proof of the tickets plus you can be identified. Low key is an absolute must. Don't act all cool and be a show off, it will get you jacked.

With these low limits and being hard enough to be a winning player how can anyone do this as their main source of income?
