I’ve made a few calls and swapped a few emails and the latest news per an American journalist in CR that has been intricate in the investigation says,

I'm just beginning this dive, but 2 sources on record say that there is no body, and the morgue confirmed that with me. There is something VERY off about this whole situation, and
the local police are ill-equipped, ill-prepared, and disinterested, so The **** and I have a better chance of answering some of our questions.”

Investigators: Wife Set Up Hit

The body of William Sean “Tony” Creighton was found Sunday October 21, 2018. Creighton’s Porche was run off the road after Creighton left work at 10 p.m. on September 24 to drop off a co-worker. Two men on motorcycles and two men in a BMW SUV forced Creighton’s sports car off the road, forced him out of his car and into the BMW. After Creighton’s laptop and mobile phone were located, investigators determined Creighton’s wife, a Costa Rican native, may be behind the plot to kidnap and kill him. Creighton’s wife reportedly transferred $750,000 to members of her own family in a ruse designed to look like a kidnapping-for ransom plot

Yeah, I don’t know. The reporter who initially broke the story that his body had been found sent me the message I posted above this morning. She didn’t explain her original report but I just asked about it.

Lol. There are no real police investigations in Latin America. Maybe Chile could do something in Santiago.

you wouldnt go through all the trouble to kidnap him and then not get any money for it. if you wanted someone dead you wouldnt kidnap them, you would shoot them in the car where it was wrecked. a lot here doesnt add up but it sounds like the kidnapping was a thought out plan so its within reason to believe they still have him alive and still being held.

Not it unless I wanted it to look like a kidnapping and just not murder to implicate one self

I’m unable to elaborate on details at the moment, but here is the conclusion I’ve come to, and this is not corroborated, it is simply what I believe has happened and is happening from the info I’ve gotten.

Unfortunately I believe that Sean is indeed dead. I believe that initial reports that they found his body last weekend are true. I believe that after this news went public that Sean’s wife as well as lawyer in CR and others that have a financial interest at 5 dimes, possibly even some local officials, are trying to keep this quiet for as long as possible. The motive for this I believe is that they’re afraid of a run on the bank at 5 dimes and ultimately its demise. They do employ approximately 300 locals.

This is just my opinion from the info I have received. I hope I’m wrong. I’d love to hear that he’s still alive, but think it’s a long-shot.

Also, everyone that I know of that has requested a payout from 5 dimes since this news broke has been paid and even paid quicker than usual. So they’re doing the right thing to maintain confidence.

Would you happen to be from the old SHF site? Just curious, the name reminded me of someone...

Yes, I am.

They could also be close to an arrest and just wanting to keep everything hush.

By no means do I intend on creating panic for 5 dimes players. They’ve been great there during all of this and are paying out better than ever.

I agree with you that we all hope for the best and that 5Dimes should survive this so there should NOT be a run to get out.

However, I find it interesting that they can suddenly pay faster than usual. If that's true, then all that talk about regulations and banking and how the industry CAN'T PAY FASTER is bullshit.

Careful, Willie. You're probably the #1 long-standing veteran here, but they'll rifle off an infraction at you in a heartbeat.....

this is very strange to me to say the least. Im in CR and to be honest I haven't heard much in the news regarding this case, I do have to point out that the media outlets that have given the most coverage are the least respectable outlets: Diario Extra and La Prensa Libre, which, if i'm not mistaken, are under the same company, but the biggest and more "respected" outlets have been close to no reports regarding this, you can even google or search them (La Nacion, Teletica 7, Repretel) so this makes me believe that there's something else that they are hiding. I could even dare to say that the people involved in this kidnapping have seen this o the other threads created for this topic.

hahahahahaha no man, haven't needed so far. I'm costarican so I know where to go and where not to go. Also, I mind my own business and try to stay away from any shady biz or people affiliated to it. As long as you keep it yourself and you don't start acting like a big shot you are ok here, but may expats down here seem to start hanging out with the wrong crowds believing that the $$ will take care of everything and keep them happy, what they don't get is that greed makes people do some dumb shit, NOT SAYING this is the case for Tony, but recently expats have been kidnapped or killed for this reason.

Cool man. Hope you decide to post your plays...you were always solid.

thanks. Made my bones in bases back then. Spiros was actually moving his lines based on my plays for a while.

Ill throw a few up. Like Dodgers in game 3. Went 17-1 in NFL 2 weeks ago including live bets.
