I believe that's standard protocol for many books. If it's for the World Series, it gets graded when the series is over.

Rather the wins get graded early so it doesn't tie up $, but I think it's just a easy processing issue. Everything goes through at the same time.

Theoretically if the event doesnt get completed you would get your money back. Leave the bet up until completion of the event.

really?? The world series not be completed? The only conceivable scenerio would be a plane goes down and an entire team dies (god forbid), the other team would be crowned champions by default...
Ergo... Houston still loses.. lol

Anyway, just thought in this scenerio kindof odd to keep a loser hanging..

Might as well grade Dodgers as a loss too

If this was a political bet, some book would pay off Red Sox betters :)

Then again, maybe not, they probably have a ton more action on the World Series and can't afford to risk paying both sides

Futures are set up as a contest. One must win, but until that happens, all will be pending.

The only way around this is to create separate props, such as Will Houston win the World Series, Yes, or No. All teams that did not make it to the World Series could have been graded as they were eliminated.
