I just locked in Bama -13.5. If the line goes lower, I'll consider the Tide again.

Alabama has had an open date before traveling to Baton Rouge for what appears its toughest
game by far to this point in the season. LSU has the athletes and results this season to suggest
it can challenge Alabama unlike any of the Tide's opponents have to this point. Even if I were
not a Bama homer, I'd still like Alabama minus the 13.5.

*Alabama has won 23 consecutive games when scoring on its first possession.

*In the first quarter alone this season, Alabama is outscoring opponents 165-31.

*Alabama has 8 wins and 0 close calls off a bye week before its toughest test of the season
at LSU.

*Alabama's ability to avoid the letdowns that seem to plague most other teams - even good ones -
has become one of the program's hallmarks.

*Tua Tagovailoa has thrown 168 consecutive passes without an interception to go with 25 touchdown
passes.

Ok, some promotion of Alabama and welcome the same for LSU. I'll be providing more game infor-
mation as the week progresses. Welcome your comments...………………...

This is huge. However, in this case it may be to their detriment. Normally it would be as a benefit to proving how good they are LSU is the right play generally. Situationally it might not be. Only thing that makes me pause. 4 straight tough games. Three straight tough home games where they won the first two. I like LSU. But if anyone can pull off a 14 point cover on the road involving two top 4 teams it is Alabama. Generally the play here is LSU. This many points(home team) where the teams are in the top 5. Forget it. Still has to be LSU or nothing. I don't care what anyone says. But, I understand why you are taking this play. Alabama is very good. I respect your opinion. Just here to give my perspective whether people think it is right or wrong i hope it benefits someone

Good point X about the tough teams in a row. Florida, Georgia and Mississippi State has to take a toll not only physically but
mentally.

It’s a tough stretch, no doubt. Let’s make sure we acknowledge that LSU has is coming off a bye, just like Bama. They’re healthy. So, the only personnel issue would be Devin White in the first half. I ain’t betting this one. Unless I end up going to the game and drinking. But, sober, on a Monday, not on Campus, I cannot say that it makes good sense to bet against Bama

Is Ole Miss the best team Bama has played?

LSU is missing their best defender due to a bs targeting call.

Tua needs to put up quick scores and get LSU out of their O gameplan. They cant match scores in a shootout. If the game stays in the 20s I think LSU wins.

Sharp observation. My local of many, many years passed away last year and I moved to off-shore.
(Bookmaker, 5Dimes). At the time of this thread, almost all the books had 13.5 and you are right,
my local would have been at 14.5 and I would have bet it.

Lsu is good, and has a lot of speed.I am a Bama homer also and whatever it is 13.5,14,i believe that is way to many points to lay on the road against a good team such as Lsu.Also throw in the fact that TUA is not 100% with his injury suffered in their last game, and if anything happens to him they don't have Hurts to go to due to him just having surgery on his ankle. These two teams have a knack of playing close defensive games, and i don't see that changing,...I hope Bama ROLLS,but i think its too many points to give up.

i see it being a pretty close game on the field but lsu is gonna have to score in the red zone and not settle for fgs. i can see lsu getting there but not punching it in. alabama weakness is in the secondary but lsu has 2 red zone passing tds this year. in 35 trips to the red zone they have kicked a fg 17 times. just dont think they can settle for fgs against alabama. lsu defense has a huge task because i think alabama will be able to score, i just dont know if lsu can match with touchdowns.

Not giving a lot of consideration to strength of schedule for either team.
LSU's "signature win" is over Miami who beat that juggernaut Florida State by 1 point, then reeled off 2 losses and showed how bad they were last Thursday against BC.
Both teams deserve to be crucified for their WEAK non conference games.
Not saying Bama is the "best ever" if Trevor Lawrence gets hot in the CFP they could easily lose to Clemson.
I am saying they should be more then 14 points better then LSU

Alabama/LSU since Saban has been coach at Alabama. While at LSU, he was 4-1
against the Tide. Saban's record in the series is 13-4.

2017: Ala -14; Won 24-10
2016: Ala -7; Won 10-0
2015: Ala -7.5; Won 30-16
2014: Ala -6.5; Won 20-13
2013: Ala -14; Won 38-17
2012: Ala -7; Won 21-17
2011: Ala -5.5; Lost 6-9
2010: Ala -6.5; Lost 21-24
2009: Ala -7; Won 27-15
2008: Ala -3; Won 27-21
2007: LSU -7; Lost 21-27

Sidenote: Since the 2007 loss, Alabama's average margin of victory in Baton Rouge is
5.4 points.

This bama team is the best college football team I've ever seen. 14 probably isn't enough.

Are you serious? Crucified for WEAK non conference?? Show me how each team compares to their peers in the top 20 in this category. Do you have any idea how out of Conference scheduling works?! How many years ahead of time that scheduling process begins? We scheduled Miami. As it turns out, they came into the season ranked 8. Other teams we have scheduled in the past few seasons are Wisconsin, Oregon, and TCU. LSU has NEVER backed down when it comes to scheduling OOC. You should be crucified for being a dipshit moron.
