They are locked in for the ACC Championship vs Clemson in 2 weeks. How much do they prep for Miami and how long do starters play?

Play to win cause they will get boat raced by Clemson regardless of who starts that game.

Which is why they need 2 weeks to prep for Clemson. My thought is they are a no show vs Miami

massive revenge game for Canes after losing last year as the #2 team in nation when they were 10-0

I saw early line on Pitt is +20 vs Clemson in Charlotte. Doubt they will rest starters but focus will not be on Miami

In the preseason, PITT had the toughest out of conference schedule playing ND, Penn State, and UCF. They lost all 3 of those games.

What if PITT played teams in lesser conferences instead? They would be a 1 loss team in the top 12. They would be a possible CFP contender if they win out. The spread vs Clemson would be 14 instead of 24.

Stupid PITT playing a tough out of conference schedule. Just schedule teams like Mercer and Rice and listen to everyone say how great you are!!

It's Pitt they would have lost to a Mercer or Rice. Hell they lost to UNC. (From a long time Pitt fan)

Good point, Miami is the play in this spot Pitt will not be fired up, letdown after clinching and looking ahead.
Classic sandwich.

As a long time season ticket holder and Pitt fan, I can tell you they are not looking ahead of Miami. This team knows they have to build equity in the program with as many wins as they can get. I'm not saying they will win or cover on Saturday, I'm saying they will not be playing a look ahead game. They know the importance of this game for their program moving forward. The ACC Championship game is very important also, as I'm not discounting the magnitude of that. Pitt knows they need this game against Miami also!

Yes the narrative is ALWAYS that they are focused and all that... but deep in their hearts, they have clinched, they have achieved so much, and the big game is next week. Sure they will play hard but not that 100% smash mouth on every play. If they get badly behind, key players will be pulled and rested.

Another HUGE factor is it might be 84 degrees at game time, all the hydration and sports drinks in the world cannot adjust the Pittsburg players electrolyte balance in a few days. You will see several Pitt players cramp up and be helped off the field in the 2ndH, but more important, many others will play but be 1/3, 1/2 step slow, just can't get there...

If it is 84 and especially if it is sunny, this will be a BIG wager for me, for the game, and probably a large 2nd half wager.Yes I know a key Miami WR is out.

They are one of the hottest teams in the country....I'll take the points. Miami hasn't been the same team since Pitt beat their ass last year.
