Was expecting this to open at 17 to 20 and was shocked when I saw 9 1/2.
This Notre Dame team is sneaky/ better then advertised with a pretty damn good defense.
FWIW I am NOT a Notre Dame homer as I hate the little fat faggot Brian Kelly.
That being said I do appreciate a team and have a soft spot in my heart for them for covering in the 3 games I was on them (Stanford, Navy & Florida State)
Rivalry? Didn't help USC against UCLA. Home field? I would expect some USC fans to Cheer for Notre Dame to encourage a blowout and speed up the firing of Helton process.
Like Notre Dame here a lot.

I agree. They have covered or pushed every neutral or road game. It passes the eye test too. The only thing is it looks too easy. But got to take it or nothing.

I follow the SC program closely.. Complete DUMPSTER FIRE I thought this line would be -17 and expect ND to thump SC by 30+ lay the points, easy money. Seroiusly Helton is done after the game, losing to both Cal and UGLY 5-6 going to be 5-7, Helton has lost the locker room. Game over, Your FIRED.

Seriously 9.5 is one stinky number. I was thinking 13.5-17 range. This one is strange....very strange.

Notre Dame didn’t cover vs. Navy - closed at 22.5 at most places (5D, Heritage, Bovada) except Pinnacle who had it at 22. They almost certainly would have still covered vs. Syracuse, but with their losing their QB in the 1st Q, that kind of skews the result. USC has got some talent - line seems about right.

Line closed 21.5 for Navy. But....whatever. They were up 27-0 and just cruised and didn't care

On Sportsbookreview.com you can find historical odds for most games. Of the 28 books listed, 18 closed at 22.5 and 6 closed at 22. To state that the line closed where most books didn’t have it is a strange conclusion to come to.
