Source?

I did a Google search, went to ESPN & NFL sites, couldn't find the story

What I did find is that they're uncertain as of yesterday

There is no source.

Justin cruise meant to say that Smith was dropped from his fantasy team and Smith will NEVER be on his roster again for 2018

Sorry to hear about your loss Justin. Though not so sure that Alex Smith is devastated by this...perhaps next time write devastating news for Justin.

Just the headline to get you to click on the story.

If you watch the video from Yahoo, Ian Rapaport explains why it "wasn't" a career ending injury.

Updating a previous item, Alex Smith's broken right leg involved compound and spiral fractures.
A compound fracture means the bone pierced through the skin, while a spiral fracture is where a long bone is broken by rotational force, hence the "spiral" motion. Smith broke both his tibia and fibula, a gruesome injury that will require a lengthy rehab. It's not 100% Smith will be able to play again. Nov 19 - 6:08 PM

The desire to post such a thing that isn’t confirmed is telling

Telling that he has no life? Job, wife, and kids? Yes, indeed. Very telling. He has none of those.

Yes, this is what's widely circulated, but it doesn't say his career is over (it may be)

Haha...what? Doesn't he post every 7 min updating everyone on his fantasy football team. He has a wife and kids? I'm assuming the kids must be grown.

I believe him when he says he has a wife and kids. Not too hard to post when you are home with the kids while having an iphone and stuck watching their crappy cartoons

It's probably over given the nature of the injury, but he's been pretty resilient his whole career and wouldn't rule out a comeback.

Devastating news either way. Such a pro.
