It's funny that they had to change the plays to one word because his teammates couldn't understand what he was saying. I think that might be a problem unless they start having someone else call the plays in the huddle.

Left for dead a few weeks ago, the Baltimore Ravens are up off the deck, and their rookie quarterback gets a large chunk of the credit.
Lamar Jackson, who’s been a backfield presence all season long, has stepped into the starting role after injury to Joe Flacco sidelined the Ravens’ elite regular starter. Sunday, Jackson hauled the Ravens to an ugly but serviceable win over the Atlanta Falcons, 26-16. The Ravens’ defense is vicious enough to keep them in any game, and Jackson’s legs put the Ravens in position to win their third straight.

He's a runner not a thrower, He will get injured with his style of play. Ball security is poor. 2 passing td's, 3 int. Fumbled 5 times in 3 games, has been lucky only 1 lost fumble. qb rating 73.5

Can someone post the "All I do is win" music video with Tim Tebow?

Lamar was the best college player of the last decade. If they use him right, they will win games.

when QBs get hurt in the pocket no one says anything but when it is on the run it is somehow a big deal. Ifnyou draft a guy like lamar or tebow or Vince Young, you need to use what they do best. The offensive coordinators and head coaches hate it because of ego and wanting to run their systems. But Tebow won .... VY won ... and now Lamar is winning. And when they play and are allowed to play, your defense with be healthier and rested for the fourth qtr. No one wants to mention how much more productive the run games were or how much better the defenses played when they had running qbs. In the NFL it isnt all about winning. They have made that clear.

Go Lamar!! ( Who should have won the heisman unanimously over Barkley)

Everyone says this but he gets out of bounds quite a bit and clearly as he learns he will start feeling more comfortable with throwing more. It’s football. Everybody gets hurt. Yes he’s undersized but what they are doing with him is controlling the time of possession and their defense is actually fresh for once. Flacco is decent at best and his best years are behind him. Of course Lamar will do well

This is a no brainer. Jackson over Flacco. See how he develops.

And he sounded OK in that post game interview posted above, despite his critics. Seems to be a likeable guy too. That always helps.

Long term he will not be a successful QB in the NFL.

When he is done playing his last game, he will have a winning record as a starter. Whether the NFL powers that be are smart enough to let him keep winning or they force him out like they have done with other recent quality running QB's then it will not be a career of longevity.

I think Tebow was about a 57% winner as a starter.
I think Vince Young was about a 62% winner as a starter.
Lamar is on his way to similar numbers but if he doesn't fit the prototype they are wanting, he won't last. This is confusing because most people want to believe the NFL teams are about winning .. and that winning is what matters … but it isn't true. Incidentally, the win % prior to Vince Young taking over was less, and it was less after they quit starting him. The Broncos winning percentage was less before Tebow and was more after him because he was replaced by Peyton Manning, one of the all time greats at the position.

Just don't be fooled into thinking they want to play the guy that gives them the best chance to win. They want to play the guy that gives them the best chance to win, doing it the way they think they want to.

Anyway .. can you define "long term"

Go Lamar !!!

to add .. QB rating is a flawed metric. It doesn't take into account all the OTHER impacts a quarterback can have on a game ... There was a reason why the Broncos defense was good in the fourth quarter in Tebow led games and why Tebow was able to throw so well in the clutch against teams in the fourth quarter. One team had a fresh defense and the other defense had to defend a physical offense all day. There was a reason the Titans running backs faired better in game started by VY than when he didn't play. You had to respect his feet and that meant bigger holes for the RB.

QB rating takes into account raw stats only.

Lamar is a winner.

How is this a no brainer? You're talking about replacing a Super Bowl winning QB with an untested rookie with accuracy problems.

At this point in the season, with the Ravens in the playoff hunt, the idiotic move is to keep Jackson behind center.

I liked Joe Flacco more than most but calling him a "Superbowl winning QB" distorts the player he is in 2018 by quite a bit.

He's sucked for awhile now. They should just ride LJax for better or worse.

He isn't playing like he usually does. But you remove the guy with experience in the big game (hence the reason I said SB winning QB) over this guy? I mean, play good D and all Flacco has to do is not turn the ball over.

I just don't think one superbowl 5 years ago is that relevant. He had an insane run in that playoffs but has been extremely average since then. There is 0% chance they make a run with Flacco, might as well go with the 5% shot with Jackson
