I do think another change has to be uniformity of the deadlines for making picks. It's generally one hour before kickoff of the early games on Sunday, which I think should be made uniform. One hour before the game goes off, or 12 noon EST on Sundays, whichever is first. Maybe 1 hour before kickoff of the first game that day. Whatever we choose, it should be uniform so everyone understands it.

We have different time limits for London games (I'm not even sure what it is), 2:20 minutes before kickoff for Thursday night games, and then Thanksgiving games have to be in by midnight Wednesday, or 12.5 hours before kickoff of the 1st game.

The time frame should be uniform and should not have such wide variations. I missed out on Thanksgiving Day players because I had no idea they had to be by midnight. It's not like any work has to be done because somebody made picks, only the time stamp matters.

I think Willie and PeePee bring up some good points. I'd also like to add that the week Sharky and FairWarning tied, Sharky actually outscored FairWarning with decimal scoring since an exact score can actually be determined based on yardage. But due to rounding, Sharky was the one eliminated even though his team had more yardage(fantasy points), than FairWarning. It just seems asinine that FairWarning could have won the entire contest when he actually had the lowest score one week but advanced due to rounding. It amazes me every year that people aren't bothered by this.

Fractional pts are not the way to go with this type of contest. Lots of normal fantasy leagues dont even use fractional pts. If we went to fractional qb scoring would have to be changed and make it more qb heavy.

As for the timing of entries, must rules have been put in place bc someone in previous years has tried to abuse it and say was my play good or not... oh my pick was late if their guy sucks etc. We could look at making your whole roster due if you play someone in an early game. I dont knoe if google forms would let you submit one position and then let you come back later on and fill in the rest. Trying to find ways of improving this, but also thinking of just stopping after this season as its becoming a huge head ache and no longer fun

Rounding - that’s the way the rules have been stated for years. Like if I lost due to a qb throwing an interception and then complaining if we didn’t deduct for that I would have one
it’s more work to do. And the rules are clear.

Dont blame ya Kidman. More issues this year. Guessing everyone on edge and annoyed about the no roster stuff and have bad taste in mouth. I will too probably if get knocked out by someone who should be gone :)

Deadlines - I get why consistency is good (like one hour before kickoff of game). But again since people emailing and Kidman posting (more work for Kidman) I just try and follow rules and not complain

apprediate the contest and work you do

ive been kicking around some ideas that might improve or create more week to week interest, one idea I have thought about is:

if there is a week where a team forgets a lineup, that person is eliminated and the highest scoring team from that week wins that person's buy in. So the year long pot has the chance to shrink a bit, but everyone doesnt feel like they got a free pass and burned the guys for nothing, but instead had a chance to win money. If two teams forget the same week, both are eliminated, and play for $100 that week.

Ive also thought about seeing interest in taking the contest up to $100 so the stakes are greater.

the problem with that suggestion is that you get to see whether or not someone forgot to enter their picks each week so it would give you incentive to play 4 studs that week where everyone else in the contest wouldn't have that edge because they don't know whether or not someone forgot to make their picks.

my issue with google forms is, i dont know if you can set it up to where you make partial entries or if like other contests on here that use it, once you make your first pick, all picks have to entered for the week

I am all for raising the stakes. Other then making some tweaks on the entry, I think this is a fun and challenging contest.
